If you value beauty and tranquility then this is your place. Hotel La Palma was gorgeous. The staff were great and friendly. The location was perfect, you are able to see the coastline and the mountains. It is conveniently located near the train station so if you’d like to go into a busier area you have that option. My accommodation included complementary breakfast and it was so good! It had a lot to offer which was nice.

A very good hotel with good service

We had a very nice 3 night stay at Hotel La Palma. The room (room 204) was spacious and had all the standard creature comforts including a mini fridge and a spacious balcony with a table and two chairs. The mini spa (sauna, steam room and relaxation area) on the 6th floor was one of the highlights of the stay. The views were wonderful. Unfortunately the Sky Bar on the 7th floor was not yet open as we were there about 3 weeks before Easter and it was due to open for Easter. The whirlpool was open though and I visited it once. The breakfast was excellent and had everything anybody can sensibly ask for. The items were regularly replenished. The service at both breakfast and dinner (we had one dinner at the restaurant) was good. The food at the dinner was fine but nothing special. Everybody at the reception was friendly and polite. A special mention must go to one of the unsung heroes of the workplace. The cleaner lady at our floor was super friendly and polite. She was always smiling and saying "Buon giorno" to us. If we come back to Stresa, Hotel La Palma is likely to be our number one choice.

Hotel is in a nice location, and room is well appointed and clean. However, beside the hotel is a building field with a huge garbage dumping cart, so the side lake view for superior room is mostly ruined; a lot of group tourists during our stay, hence a bit crowded in public areas.

Brilliant hotel, excellent location. Loved the sky bar and private pool overlooking the lake. Breakfast was lovely. Really disappointing to be booked into a room which had a building site clearly on view from the balcony.
