A really great breakfast, made to order. Very spacious family room. One block from the walled city. However, the worst bathroom lighting in the history of hotels. I had to bring a flashlight into the shower to read the various soap/shampoo dispensers.

Overall, a very positive stay at this property. A friendly and helpful team of staff with a good quality restaurant onsite that served throughout the day. The room had strong and effective air con unit, and was very spacious. A large comfortable bed with nice bathroom / shower facilities. I selected this hotel partially due its onsite gym, which while it was small, had a good range of equipment and was clean. The highlight was the moment the hotel team got me a bottle of white wine because I don’t drink red wine as part of welcome gift. And the reason this review wasn’t 5 stars is due to a few (simple to fix) missing elements in the room. The facilities would be improved by some hangers in the wardrobe area, an iron in the room, and hand towels hooks in the basin space for when you wash your hands, etc…

I really enjoyed my stay at Mood Matuna. The room was clean and very spacious. The water was hot and plentiful for all of my showers. The cozy restaurant and bar are nice touches. In my particular room, the shower water did drain a little slow but nothing overwhelming. The staff was really great and helpful. Its a small boutique-like hotel with about 36 rooms, which I like. Right outside of the hotel is a short walk to food, entertainment, shopping and much more. If you are planning excursions, I was picked up directly from the hotel for one and the other was just a 2 minute walk to the pick up location, but check for your particular excursion choices. Book this hotel!

My stay at Mood Matuna was great, the staff was super friendly and accommodating. The room was big and had everything I needed for my stay. It is located between Getsemaní and the historical center so it is great if you are walking around the city. The beach can be reached by walking but it is a bit far from the hotel. The area around the hotel is not so he greatest but it is very convinient

A very nice and clean spot in the heart of the old town. One odd rule about no guests but i did like the key pad doors, which elimates the worry of leaving your key in the room accidentally.

We stayed in the private pool suite and it was lovely to enjoy the space on a hot day. Breakfast was included which was a pleasant surprise and they brought it to our room after we ordered on WhatsApp. Excellent service from the staff. Hotel was well maintained. The area directly surround the hotel was busy but location was walking distance to everything

My stay at Mood Matuna was absolutely horrible. The check-in process was one of the most incompetent I’ve ever encountered. This place feels more like a bar pretending to be a hotel rather than a proper lodging experience. While the front desk staff tries to be polite, their focus seems more on policing immigration status and monitoring guests than actually providing quality service. Staying here felt like being trapped in a birdcage—restricted and uncomfortable. Worst experience ever. Do yourself a favor and book a real hotel like Hilton or Hampton Inn instead.

Front desk was very helpful.. they didn’t have hot water. Only large towels and I could hear the guest in the next room. There were no VIP wine or upgrade. Just a regular hotel. Natasha was great!
