Barry, the host unfortunately does not put much effort into providing even a mediocre vacation experience. Perhaps the guest needs to adjust their experience from “relaxing vacation” to “rough it camping” for a better adjusted expectation.We are not high maintenance people by any means so it’s actually saying something that I’m taking the time to write this review.Barry’s place did not provide enough bath towels, there were no kitchen towels for drying hands or keeping up with dishes, no additional trash bags, or laundry soap.This place is not very clean, we have cat hair on all the bedding and our kids have found random candies left on the floor. The pots and pans in the cabinets look like someone has quite literally thrown them in. Many of the dishes have not been washed well so come prepared to wash all the dishes before your vacation starts! Be sure to bring your own soap as the one, yes one, singular wafer of somehow rock hard, yet paper thin soap will not be enough. If you reach out to him about any issues prepare yourself with a very tardy and quite unaccommodating response. After finally heading out for check in and after voicing disappointment Barry was quite gracious about a decoration that we accidentally broke and for that we were quite appreciative. Hope this information helps future guests adjust their expectations. I think next time we’ll still go with a hotel.
