The staff were nice, the rooms were lovely and clean, the breakfast was good and differed slightly each day. The location is a bit away from anything else but taxis are easy to get about. The roof top pool is more in a bar, so it’s a bit odd to try use it when others are fully clothed having drinks. I wouldn’t go expecting to use the pool at all.

The hotel is very modern. The room was very clean, but small. No desk/chair for using laptop. Only one luggage rack and no counters for other luggage. Bathroom was super small. Not well designed with a pedestal sink. No place to put toiletries and no bathtub. Shower was nice, but didn’t like only having rain shower head. The water pressure was low. Only two bath towels for two people. No extra towels for drying hair. We went to the buffet breakfast every morning, but not being from your country, enjoyed the different choices. But the food was served in “hot” serving dishes, but was not hot. Only warm at best. There was omelettes being made, but the chef didn’t understand “English”. Unfortunately, ignored us.

Beautiful hotel, but the check in and check out process has zero flexibility. I waited about five hours alongside about five other guests trying to check in because rooms weren’t ready. I requested late check out about five days prior with zero accommodation. The restaurant is a nice touch, and breakfast is reliable and open every day at 6am. However, I went there for dinner and didn’t get serviced for about 20 minutes. Bit of a nightmare. I liked the location and general safeness of the hotel, but for the most part they seem wildly understaffed. You’ll find about 10-20 people on average lingering in the lobby on a daily basis, waiting to check in. Very busy and active area if you’re looking to relax in the lobby, go elsewhere. Rooms are nicely sized and you can see the mountain from most of the rooms.

We stayed at the Rockefeller Hotel Newmark for five nights and left with mixed feelings. The hotel is stylish, modern and well-located, but a few practical issues held the experience back. We had several incidents in our room that needed attention. To their credit, the staff eventually resolved everything, but it took multiple phone calls and repeated follow-ups before things were properly fixed. The willingness to help was there, but the responsiveness wasn’t as polished as it should be. Another frustration was discovering only on arrival that the rooftop pool would be closed for private events on two of our five days. We had chosen the hotel specifically for that space, planning to use it as part of our downtime. Losing access for almost half the stay changed the experience. Guests should be told in advance—before arriving—when key amenities won’t be available. Breakfast was also a challenge. The food hall becomes extremely busy in the mornings, with no real flow or organisation, making it feel chaotic rather than relaxing. The hotel has strong potential, and with better communication and smoother operations, it could be excellent. As it stands, it was a comfortable stay with a few avoidable frustrations.

This property was disappointing. We stayed in 3 different rooms in 2 nights. Room 724 had limited lighting and was dark. The AIRCon was broken and there were no USB outlets, so this was difficult for us as foreigners as we had no 220 plugs. We were eventually moved to another executive suite that was a huge improvement, but it definitely complicated our stay at a time when I was feeling ill. We also expected the 11 minute walk to the waterfront area, but it was more like 25 minutes and not an easy walk. Hopefully management will improve some of he executive suites so that others do not have the same experience.
