This review is for the management company, not the property itself. The property was LOVELY and I hope the owner reads this and considers finding a new team. We were awakened at 2 am by a drunken staff member, Rodolfo, inside the home losing his mind and trying to drive his motorcycle through the wall. For over three hours he was screaming profanities, banging on walls & one would respond to us. Police couldn’t find us, gated security wouldn’t help & the Solmar team didn’t respond until the morning. Rodolfo was out of control and we stayed awake all night with knives protecting our children’s bedrooms sending calls and texts begging for help. In the morning we asked for a refund and were offered a masseuse and told there was never danger. Later that day there were other stranger smoking, hanging out in the home (we saw them with our eyes) and we were told it wasn’t true. The morning after the incident we asked for one night compensation - which was eventually agreed upon after VRBO was called. After the Solmar team’s response grew more ridiculous and dismissive and we wasted more time on our vacation, we asked for three nights compensation. They agreed to one and continued to dismiss the threat that night presented.There was no help. There was danger - despite what Solmar says. Blanca told us Rodolfo was drinking and out of his mind. The security guard from next door begged us to go inside and lock the doors. But he lived there. It was never about the money
