The hotel itself was fine, the beach was great. The location was excellent, but because the food was so bad at the hotel and we had to eat off the resort every meal.
I read the reviews before going and thought ahh how bad could it be. They were right, the food was not even edible, everyone loads up their plates and a few bites get taken. I can eat anything and that food could only be eaten if you’re in survival mode. I’ve been to Cancun 6x and this was just brutal for the food unlike anything I had experienced before.
I’m not going to bother describing the food, it’s just bad and not because I’m used to some high standard.
The only place I could eat was the outdoor hotdog , burger and fries stand. But they cook 1 bag of fries every 20 mins and what they cook is gone with the first 5 people in line.
The hotel room was great we had an ocean view with a plunge pool. The mini fridge was on life support took 3 days to make something cold, and there’s no good free options for drinks on the resort just watered down juice that tastes like Tang but worse.
Same for the alcohol drinks each drink has like a 1/4 shot, so there’s no chance of getting a buzz going, warm beer is the other choice.
We were treated well, check in and check out was quick and easy. The staff was all good, it’s not their fault the hotel owners are half assing it at best.
But if you’re going to book it bring an extra $1000 for food, you’ll understand when you see it.
