Dear Ava Resort Team,
I wanted to share some honest feedback from our recent stay at your resort. Overall, we had a good experience — the property is clean and very beautiful, and we really enjoyed the kayaks that were included with the stay. The à la carte restaurants served very good food, and we truly appreciated both the taste and presentation.
However, I was quite disappointed with the buffet experience. Even the most basic breakfast items like bananas, sausages, and bacon were 99.99% of the time missing. What’s surprising is that the same items were available through room service, which made it even more confusing. The lunch and dinner buffets were also very limited, repetitive, and lacked variety — not what you would expect from a resort of this level. Normally, we love exploring buffet options after enjoying the specialty restaurants, but this time, that was a big letdown.
Another concern was the kids’ area. Children were not allowed to go and play whenever they wanted — it was only open during a specific “family hour.” For example, when my daughter wanted to go play for a short time outside that slot, it wasn’t allowed. For a family resort, this policy felt quite restrictive and inconvenient.
We were actually considering staying at Hard Rock Los Cabos, which is part of the same RCD Hotels group, but after this experience, we’re now hesitant. I truly hope you take this feedback into account because Ava Resort has so much potential — with better buffet variety and more
