Amazing food at the on-site restaurant. the service was quick, friendly, and really helpful. Unfortunately, the condition of our cabin was a bit questionable. When we arrived, the bathroom door was locked from the inside, and although the manager came quickly with his tools to open it. It turned into a bit of a battle with cockroaches during the night, i killed atleast 15 that made it onto our bed. On the plus side, they do offer 24-hour service, and someone came out right away with bug spray when we called. The beds, however, were quite uncomfortable, two firm single beds pushed together

Cabin (Ridge View) was very small and cramped - we didn’t feel it was good value for money. Cabin was very tired and needs refreshing. Curtains had holes in the light blocking backing and looked tatty. Also window sills dusty. We couldn’t open the bunk room window - I did report this to Reception and they said someone would fix it whilst we were out but that didn’t happen. looked tatty -

The location of this accommodation is its best asset. It is set amongst bushland with a view of Black Mountain and is a short drive into the city.

All staff had a great sense of humour and went beyond to help check-in. They made guests feel comfortable and happy. Highly recommend staying at Alivio in particularly the villas. However, this was my first time staying in the cabins. It's a bit outdated and needs some TLC.

We regularly go to Canberra and generally stay in serviced apartments. On this occasion we had our 6-year-old granddaughter with us so decided to try something different and more kid friendly. Still looking for quality accommodation though. The advert looked good and promised premium accommodation, and we paid for what was supposed to be a premium unit. Well premium it was not. The unit was grubby when we arrived and we spent some time cleaning before we unpacked. The reality is that the unit was very tired and in need of lots of maintenance and cleaning. There were a number of damaged items that had clearly been damaged for some time. There was black mold on the ceiling in the lounge area and the safe was not working. I like to have access to a safe when we travel so that we can lock away valuable items (iPads computer etc) when we're out. I asked 3 days in a row for the safe to be fixed, was promised on each occasion that it would be, all to no avail. It was still broken when we departed 6 days after our arrival. We enjoyed our holiday but the accommodation was certainly a low point in the overall experience. Would we stay at Alivio again? "No". Would we recommend Alivio as a place to stay, "No"

Wattle glen cabins are old and need a good clean. Floors were dirty, bathroom filthy. Beds weee rock hard Caravan park is amazing though. Staff wonderful and very kind and helpful
