Never heard from host

I never heard from the host and was unable to check-in. After contacting them many times, VRBO team told me that they would get back to me and never did and I was lucky to find accommodation elsewhere. If I had waited for VRBO to get back to me, I would have arrived, alone, in a dangerous city with nowhere to stay. I am incredibly disappointed by the entire experience.
