Taking my 81yr old dad away I would have benefited from better photos as the property had more stairs than expected and outdoor steps were often uneven. His first and only go in the swimming pool was problematic and hit his confidence. The single bathroom and inability to flush paper in the toilet also presented inconveniences. The property was good but just not suited for our needs.

Lovely stay

This is a homely house with an effective log fire if it's cooler and a lovely pool and outdoor living area when the weather is warmer. Sunset views each evening as the property looks towards the west. Lovely walking around Ponta do Pargo and the nearby Levada too.

Clean and quiet

We booked this looking for a quiet place to stay for our last week of vacation. And we loved it. The house if very private, has everything we needed and was very clean. The host was great, made checking in very easy.

Beautiful location

Thank you to Mariana and her family for making us feel so welcomed when we arrived here. It was so kind of you to meet us and show us the way to the house. Thank you also for the food you left for us, that was much appreciated and welcomed after a long journey. The house is immaculate with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The pool was a fantastic bonus and my daughter spend many hours in there. The location is in a lovely quiet spot , with wonderful views and access to lots of lovely walks. I would highly recommend staying here.

Eine Oase der Ruhe

Wir haben zwei wunderbare Wochen hier verbracht. Das Haus hat alles, was man braucht. Der Pool ist wunderbar. Unsere Kinder (7,9) waren zunächst ein wenig skeptisch, da es leicht salziges Wasser ist, haben ihn dann aber um so mehr geliebt. Man hat einen wundervollen Ausblick auf den Atlantik und es ist einfach nur ruhig. Ein Auto wird allerdings auf jeden Fall benötigt. Für die morgendliche Joggingrunde sind auch schöne Wanderwege vorhanden. Tolle und günstige Restaurants in der Nähe sorgen für ein sehr gutes Abendessen. Der Kontakt zu Mariana und Susana war sehr gut. Wir haben unseren Urlaub auf Madeira und besonders in diesem Haus sehr genossen. Für einen Familienurlaub ist dieses Haus perfekt. Es gibt sogar ein Spielzimmer, was unsere Tochter gerne zwischendurch genutzt hat.

Relaxing stay in a wonderful property!

We had a wonderful time! There were all of the necessary amenities to help (washing machine soap, toilet paper etc) and enjoy our stay. We enjoyed the pool and the surroundings. Being an hour away from the airport or Funchal was not a problem for us and we managed to tour the island and we had some wonderful activities.

Tolles Ferienhaus!

4) In einer Vorrezension war von Insekten die Rede: Wir hetten keine Probleme damit! In den Schlafräumen sind Insektenschutzgitter angebracht. Mit Mücken hatten wir überhaupt keine Last. Selten musste ich einen sogenannten "Spinnenläufer" ins Freie begleiten, was für die ländliche Gegend absolut normal ist. Wer damit ein Problem hat, sollte sich in ein steriles Hotel begeben. Wer Natur will, muss auch mal >selten< ein harmloses Insekt ertragen können.

Der perfekte Ort zum Entschleunigen...

Wenn man einen Urlaub abseits von Touristen in ruhiger idyllischer Lage sucht ist man hier genau richtig! —> Mietwagen vorausgesetzt! Es gibt viel Ruhe und Privatsphäre, ein gut eingerichtetes Haus, einen tollen Pool mit Garten und eine Aussicht an der man sich nicht sattsehen kann!! Außerdem ist es ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge. Ein Supermarkt und Restaurants sind in 10 Minuten mit dem Auto im Nachbarort vorhanden. Wir als Familie mit 2 Kids haben den Urlaub völlig genossen und kommen gerne wieder!

Perfect location and amazing vacation home

We stayed at this place in mid november 2021 for 10 days. Before arriving we received a detailed description how to reach the house via WhatsApp, because it is not located in Google maps or usual navigation systems. With the upfront support from the owner we found the place immediatly. The location is absolutly quite. There is a house next door and at the end of the driveway, but no noises could be heard. Nevertheless you should keep in mind, that for a dinner or grocery shopping you have to drive or take a longer walk to the nearby town center of Ponta Do Pargo (about 3 km). The host was very welcoming, friendly and helped us out with every question. We were welcomed in person, shown around the house and were able to ask questions directly. The contact during the whole stay was uncomplicated and quick. The house had everything one will might need, also a washing machine and a dishwasher. Even in november the temperature was quite okay, but still there were additional blankets offered as well as heating devices. We did not have to use the indoor fireplace. The furnishing is functional and extensive, we had everything we needed. During our stay we had the pool heated up to 24°C which was absolutely fine for the weather conditions during this time of the year. We also had the opportunity to use the outdoor barbecue. Overall we had an amazing time in the house and would definitely come back.

Sehr ruhig und ländlich. Toll auch mit Kindern.

Wir waren 2 Wochen als Familie mit drei Kindern (6, 8, 12) hier. Bei Ankunft am Haus wurden wir freundlich begrüßt und durch das Haus geführt. Für unser Abendessen war bereits gesorgt (Brot, Käse, Butter, Marmelade, Saft und sogar Bier). In dem Haus mangelt es an nichts: Die Küche ist voll ausgestattet (inkl. 3 versch. Kaffeemaschinen). Außer Lebensmitteln mussten wir in den zwei Wochen nichts kaufen. Ingesamt war das Haus sehr sauber und geräumig und hält, was die Fotos versprechen. Im Juli reicht der unbeheizte Pool völlig aus und wir hatten sehr viel Spaß darin. Die Lage ist extrem ländlich. Das bedeutet zum einen wenig Verkehr und viel Ruhe und keine Nachbarn, die einen nerven (oder die man selbst nerven könnte). Zum anderen hat es aber auch den Nachteil, dass der nächste Supermarkt einige Kilometer weit weg ist und man mit Tausenfüßlern das Zimmer teilt. Wir empehlen außerdem dringend, Anti-Mückenspray und auch was für die Behandlung von Stichen mitzunehmen, ggf. auch einen Anti-Mückenstecker für die Steckdose (mind. für den Schlafraum unter dem Dach). Klimaanlage vorhanden, mussten wir aber nicht nutzen, da das Haus auch im Hochsommer angenehm temperiert ist.

Sehr schön

Wir waren 14 Tage in dem sehr schönen Haus mit herrlichem Blick auf den Atlantik, wo wir fast jeden Abend einen spektakulären Sonnenuntergang sehen konnten. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und würden das Haus jederzeit wieder mieten. Es ist alles vorhanden, und wer gerne kocht findet jedes Küchenutensil. Im Dorf ist es sehr ruhig, und wer wie wir aus Frankfurt kommt, findet hier den idealen Ort zur Entschleunigung.

Das ist Erholung.

Auch wenn Google das Haus nicht kennt, wir sind froh, es gefunden haben. Schon beim ersten Anblick war klar, hier werden wir uns wohl fühlen. Das gemütliche, einladende Haus ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht (bei längerem Aufenthalt fehlt vielleicht eine Waschmaschine). Wir freuen uns über die freundliche Begrüßung und die bereits zur Verfügung stehenden Lebensmittel. Auch über Toilettenpapier braucht man sich keine Sorgen machen. Herrlich - da fühlt man sich gut aufgehoben und willkommen. Tatsächlich sind keine Geschäfte in der Nähe, und so ist es ratsam, sich bereits bei der Anfahrt mit benötigten Dingen einzudecken. Dann braucht man eigentlich nichts mehr. Der tägliche weite wunderschöne Blick auf das Meer bringt Erholung und man will gar nicht mehr weg. Zwar ist es im Haus ganztägig recht kühl, aber abends mit einem Glas Wein vor dem Kamin zu sitzen, lässt einen Tag gemütlich ausklingen. Wer Ruhe und Erholung sucht, ist hier genau richtig.

Gut ausgestattetes Landhaus etwas sehr abgelegen

Die Mietabwicklung verlief problemlos, das Haus ist ganz gut ausgestattet, jedoch für die Winterzeit etwas zu kühl. Es ist zwar ein riesiger Holzofen und ausreichend Brennholz vorhanden, jedoch verliert sich die Wärme schnell im Raum bedingt durch die Größe u. Höhe der Räumlichkeiten. Es sind noch 2 kleine Heizgeräte vorhanden, diese reichen jedoch höchstes aus um das Badezimmer zu heizen. Ansonsten ist es sehr gemütlich in dem Haus. Was mich etwas störte sind die kleinen Türen mit Doppelflügeln die sich teilweise öffnen liesen obwohl diese veriegelt waren. Das W-Lan funktionierte sehr gut. Was sehr ärgerlich war, der Pool sollte laut Angebot beheizt sein. Dies war laut Vermieterin auch möglich jedoch nur gegen einen Aufpreis von 20€ pro Tag. Dies stand nicht in der Beschreibung des Objekts. Hatten das Haus extra wegen dieser Option angemietet. Bedingt durch das teilweise schlechte Wetter konnten wir den Pool unbeheizt nicht ein einziges mal nutzen. Wenn man das vorher gewusst hätte dann hätte man sich sicherlich für ein anderes Objekt näher zur Hauptstadt Funchal entschieden oder gar ein Hotel genommen.

Schönes, sauberes und gut ausgestattetes Landhaus in ruhiger Lage

Buchung, Bezahlung und Kontaktaufnahme liefen korrekt und absolut problemlos. Das Haus war nicht ganz einfach zu finden, aber Mariana, die sehr freundliche Vermieterin, half per Telefon bzw. WhatsApp und lotste uns schießlich die letzten paar hundert Meter. Dann gab es neben einem Begrüßungskuchen noch eine kleine Einweisung zum Haus und zu den Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Das Haus ist recht geräumig, sehr sauber und gut ausgestattet. So ist auch alles da, was man in der Küche so braucht. Falls es abends etwas zu kühl sein sollte, kann man mit Holz heizen. Es gibt stabiles W-LAN im und um das Haus. Die Gegend ist ländlich, etwas abgelegen im Westen von Madeira, und lädt zu Wandertouren mit grandiosen Aussichten ein.
