Village hotel Leeds south

Staff very friendly and helpful. Kevin the bar and grill manager was excellent. Looked after us very well even though he was short staffed and doing so much, including serving, cleaning tables, bar work, sorting out an event. Food good in bar and grill. Reception staff lovely and helpful. Room okay, Very dark - too dark to see into wardrobe. Two sets of light - by door and by kettle not working. Pillows rock hard and led to disturbed sleep as they caused neck ache. Door to bathroom wouldn’t close. Bedside table taken with the kettle and cup tray - used to be on separate table. Hotel good as stated many times over the years but rooms need improving.

Great hotel some watch outs

Really good hotel, coffee in room good, staff were nice. Car park was difficult with a 5pm arrival as the gym is packed, breakfast was good, no safe in room not great for leaving laptop

The position of the hotel is ideal,with easy access to the Motorway and Leeds centre, The only issue I had on this visit was the breakfast with most of the cooked item being either lukewarm or cold, despite being down at 8am. I will stay again however I will not be paying for a cold cooked breakfast.
