Very elegant and beautiful place. Stunning gardens and buildings, very peaceful environment to stay. Victoria was a great host and prepares an amazing breakfast accompanied with champagne. The room was luxurious making it a great place for the honeymoon that we never had.

We thought we were paying for one of the better spa rooms and to our horror realise that the bathroom door ( unlocked by the way) led straight into the hallway corridor we could hear people they could hear us we felt very uncomfortable

The bathroom door does have a working lock on it and it is not accessible from the hallway as there is cabinet on the other side of the door.

Pros: Beautiful gardens
Cons: Musty room with mould growing on door frames. We left two days early
Location: Nice position, Reasonable access
Facilities: Tired, stylish but dated; Value: Pricey, Could be better; Service: Lacking; Cleanliness: Smelly, Musty smell and mouldy; We gave the owner notice that we would not stay and asked for the room to be readvertised so we would get a refund. This was not done!

It is unfortunate that some feel the need to fabricate & then exaggerate issues. Strict cancellation policies are put into place for a reason. We recommend researching & understanding the terms and conditions prior to booking a reservation to avoid having to defame a brand.

The room curtains are made from imported European fabric and were custom made to suit the classic French decor of the room, instead of heavy motel style block out window coverings. The room has an elevated balcony and is separated by gardens, so unless someone was very tall and nosey, it would be quite difficult to see into the room. We have now frosted/etched the glass in the French doors to prevent future paranoia.
