Ridgehead Farm Cottages were created in 2008 by converting a 200 year old historic barn into 2 luxury cottages, Snipe and Curlew, they are both rated at the top end of 4 star by the tourist board. Set at 1500ft on a 80 acre equine farm within a site of Special Scientific Interest, they offer stunning views and year round peace and tranquillity yet are conveniently located for local amenities and exploring the Peak District. Each cottage has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and sleeps 4 so are perfect for families or couples, the 2 cottages can be booked together (10% discount) to sleep 8. With underfloor heating downstairs and in all bathrooms they provide a warm, cosy retreat at the end of the day.
EV charger now available for use of guests, has type 2 cable fitting most modern electric vehicles. Charging costs at domestic rates.

What an amazing place to stay. The accommodation had everything we needed and was clean and welcoming and the views were on another level! The location was perfect for exploring the Peak District and we managed to fit so much into just 2 days. The host Jo was kind and helpful and we would definitely recommend staying here.

Lovely comfortable property, perfect for our needs. Great to have a separate loo downstairs in addition to the two bathrooms upstairs in our barn conversion (there appears to be another rental here). Well equipped and Jo was very friendly, helpful and advised on best places to go, eat and places to check out in the local area. Beautiful views and tranquil setting, enjoyed the sound of the cuckoo outside! Thanks for the wine and biscuits! Would love to stay again.

The property was perfect in every way, very spacious and well equipped with amazing views from the terrace . The property is very rural but not far from attractions and plenty of pubs/restaurants within a 10 minute drive. Jo the host was very welcoming and informative. The toilets could have done with a clean, the window in the double bedroom kept flying open catch not working properly, under the sink needs a clean , and the oven . The host was spot on . All the animals were lovely. Beautiful setting and loved the geese that fly in . A view to die for. Thank you

Lovely property & location
