This was a great place to stay in NYC. The hotel is a short walk to the subway if you want to visit other parts of the city. My husband and I felt very safe during our stay, the room was clean (just a few crumbs on the floor…no biggie!), and the room was a good size. The hotel is in the heart of some great food places (China Town & Little Italy). We would definitely stay here again.

Overall, our stay at the Palazzo was "ok", but there were several aspects of the experience that were disappointing. My biggest concern was the substantial incidental hold placed on our debit card at check-in. This was not explained to us at check-in. We stayed five nights, and the Palazzo placed a $750 hold ($150 per night) on our card. We don't charge purchases to our room, so having that amount of our available funds tied up for the duration of our stay was inconvenient. Ironically, we were forced to charge purchases to the room this trip since what little available funds we had left were for expenses outside the Palazzo. We also experienced a complete water outage for more than an hour during our stay. Unfortunately, this occurred while we were getting ready for a 2:00 p.m. show at the Sphere. I was in the middle of a shower when the water stopped and had to rinse the soap off using bottled water we happened to have in the room. While I understand unexpected issues can occur, this was a significant inconvenience, especially at a luxury resort.

"Bed and towels reeked of laundry soap and the hotel management told me it was so I would know they were clean. You may like sleeping with your head on a box of Tide or whatever soap they use, however I ended up using my backpack as a pillow as the management was very proud their linens were not rinsed ..."
