This is a very nice hotel in Palermo Soho. Walking distance to many beautiful parks. The rooms are very small though. Breakfast was lovely.

Beautiful boutique hotel on a quiet street in a trendy upscale neighborhood full of bars red and shops. Room was great bedding bathrooms and linens all upgraded Staff were amazing. Pool and patio were perfect and breakfast was wonderful

Loved this hidden boutique hotel.

My stay at 1828 was top notch from start to finish. The hotel was located in a convenient side of Palermo where you could easily walk to good eats, shopping, bars and other areas of BA. The staff was very nice and responsive. My room had a king size bed and balcony. The room was not huge but it worked fine for me. I absolutely loved the water pressure of the rain shower. Their breakfast was included and delicious. I would definitely come back again.

I really wanted to lobe this place. Many of the hotel features were great. It’s a beautiful little boutique hotel on the edge of Palermo SoHo. Great public areas and friendly helpful staff. There is a small breakfast, happy hour bar and a beautiful little courtyard pool/ sitting area. Our suite however was a real disappointment. We had booked a suite at a considerably higher price point. While the space itself was nice looking, we found ourselves without water so no shower to freshen up before dinner. The next morning still no water until late morning when I could fill the tub half full with tepid water. We had a jetted tub on the balcony filled with leaves and dust. I cleaned it out and had a pleasant soak but on looking up realized that there were balconies above that directly overlooked my bathing area. The sills for the sliding doors to the balcony were also very dirty. We had made plans to stay here with 2 other couples and I was embarrassed with my recommendation. I don’t know if there was a glitch or for some reason things weren’t up to standard but like I started with it’s really lovely.

Boutique super cute hotel. In Palermo, don Julio is at a walking distance. Staff were super helpful and pleasant, also helped book tango shows and boat rides. We took the delux king room. Room was modern, nice, clean and spacious. Bathroom had all that we needed, but a little small. Shower had great pressure. Overall, great stay.

Disappointing

No hot water when we arrived but we were told a couple hours and it would be sorted. Not a big issue at the time but we went on a day trip and when we got back, no hot water. In the morning the shower was still a problem, I had to run around under it to get wet. The service at breakfast was slower than the lift and the lift is painfully slow.

Excellent small hotel

What a lovely little hotel! Almost perfect! The decor is so lovely, with lots of attention to detail. Many other hotels should take a leaf out of the owner’s design book. For a tiny hotel (probably less than 20 rooms)it is incredibly well done, with menus, towels and many other things imprinted with the hotel’s unique logo. The staff are excellent; many speak incredibly good English and any emails or requests are responded to quickly. The rooms are of a very good size and very comfortable. Towels etc are of good quality and the bathroom is beautifully decorated. However, I don’t like the way the shower is set up - you do get a blast of cold water whilst trying to start it. I would like to see more international channels on the TV, even if it is just the news -but with fast wifi, this isn’t essential. The street it’s on is quiet, and at least 300m away from other places, so there are not lots of people or traffic passing and disturbing the peace. We loved the hotel and it would be our first choice when we return to BA, although it isn’t perfect (happy to discuss minor flaws if necessary).
