On arrival at the hotel, the receptionist gave minimal information about breakfast, WiFi etc. then we went to the room and there was no cot for my baby even though I had confirmed that there would be over the phone a few days earlier. When the receptionist did bring a cot to our room, the mattress was dirty and there was a double sheet folded and put on top of the mattress. This could have been very dangerous if I’d allowed my baby to sleep in it. We ended up with my husband in the single bed and my baby and me in the double. The shower gel was also empty.
When we asked for more English breakfast tea, the receptionist said he’d never heard of it. When I told another receptionist about the cot, she told me that they would fix it. They did change the mattress and use a fitted sheet but it was far too soft for safe sleeping for a baby.
The duvet cover on the double bed was miles too big for the duvet. And after I complained about it they just replaced the cover with another one that was too big. After travelling all day with a baby, you expect a Hilton to be of a certain standard but this one was not! On check out they didn’t even ask how my stay was.
