Very comfortable and warm stay

We stayed for 2 nights and had a good stay. We had a bad start with check in. We arrived at 3pm and It took a while to get checked in and the original room wasn’t ready so they had to give us another room. The receptionist was accommodating and asked us if we wanted a room with a shower or Bath and if we wanted a room at the front or back. She upgraded us and we had a lovely warm comfortable room at the front of the hotel looking out on the street. The hotel was in an ideal location and it was always so warm. The bathroom was nicely decorated and always lovely hot water. It was quiet around the hotel and corridors and we had 2 great nights of sleep. We would definitely stay again

The room itself was very small, but suitable to my needs. The biggest problem though was that the room was situated facing the big street in front of the hotel. Across the street is a club that is open until 5am with very loud music. As the windows don't isolate noise at all, I barely got any sleep during my first night there. For the second night I bough earplugs from the pharmacy next door and was able to sleep. This is not a fault from the hotel itself, but something to be aware of if booking a room there.

Glad there is a lift. So convenient for lots of places, as a wheelchair user that is important, the cobbles are not good, so it is helpful to be so near the Grand Place, Metro, fantastic eating places, etc. Even though it's mid-October the room was warm, we had the window open all night - hence our advice to pack earplugs, as it is quite noisy at night and early morning flights. We thought it was good value for money, location superb, and would definitely stay here again.

Vey convenient for the Grand Place, where we attended (as we always do) the Belgian Beer Weekend. Three of us had small single rooms, perfectly acceptable. I had a large room with double bed. Again, fine. The hotel is unpretentious but in very good decorative order and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was reasonable value at 19 euros. Cereals, scrambled egg, boiled eggs, 2 breads, pastry, good coffee, apples and oranges, bowl of fruit salad. Delightful chief receptionist who was very patient with my French. But her English was very good and we communicated with no problems. Very friendly and charming young lady. Other receptionists also fine. Speedy and efficient lift. We will definitely return to the Dansaert next year.
