We stayed from 27–30 November 2025 as two couples, booking through Hotels.com. At about £550 per couple for 3 nights and with mostly “Good” 7–10/10 ratings, we expected a straightforward mid-range hotel. Instead, it turned out to be a very “low budget” place (only obvious from the sign on arrival), and the standard rooms we had don’t appear in the listing photos. Rooms were clean but extremely basic for the price: Shampoo / Shower Gel, Tea Making Facilities and extra pillows all chargable as extras, but not explained on the Hotel.com site. Our room did not even have hand soap to wash after visiting the bathroom. Both rooms did not have a wardrobe, just 3 hangers on the back of the door. We had two shelves, but our friends room didnt even have shelves. Tiny sofa-style pillows, with a note saying you must pay extra for an additional pillow. And we had to. In our room an open shower with no door or privacy and a mirror that gives a direct view from the bed. One folding chair. Clean, yes, but extremely poor value and not what we believed we were booking. We would not stay again or recommend it.

I was somewhat surprised to be told that an additional bed cushion would be charged at €5 The single cushions were about the size of a mouse nest! Otherwise a great place to stay and a delightful town.

The best thing I can say is that the location is excellent. It is a very basic hotel, with very small rooms. The breakfast was quite good. You have to pay extra for things like a blow dryer, shampoo, extra pillows. We didn’t have to pay For the blow dryer as we were staying a week.

Rooms were clean that flex facilities and I was old and showing where breakfast is good. Staff was nonexistent due to the fact it’s a self check in and self check out and the room was oversold. It’s supposed to have a river view and everything else and I’ve had this tiny little window Not, but they show on the Internet.

Lovely hotel in a great location. Wouldn't recommend the standard room though, very small with a tiny bathroom - would recommend paying a bit extra for a bigger room. Breakfast was very nice

The hotel is a short walk from the historic centre. The staff are friendly, welcoming and very obliging. Our room was very comfortable and well equipped.

Lovely stay

This isn't anywhere, fancy hotel. It is old and parts of it are run down. But it's adorable and very Charming. The location was perfect. The staff was amazing. I would definitely come back!
