Welcome to The Saint Catharine Farmhouse! Here you can enjoy the luxury of rural, farm-style living while only being 5 short miles from the quaint city of Brookfield! This ranch style home is perfect for guests who love to travel and explore new areas or for the avid outdoorsman who loves to explore nature. Being in North Central Missouri allows guests easy access to abundant, local public recreational land near the home.

Take advantage of the fully furnished, spacious three bedroom, two bath home with a fully stocked kitchen and two living areas. Enjoy breakfast as a group while you experience the tranquil views of the neighboring farmlands through the large French doors located in the dining area. When you need a break from porch sitting or watching the abundant wildlife that frequently roams the property, enjoy highspeed internet and streaming services on any tv in the home. The entire family will enjoy the large living areas that are great to wind down at the end of the day.

The home is accessible from a blacktop road making travel to and from your home away from home easy. You will have full access to the entire house as well the 12 acres of rolling hills that the property sits on! This includes the washer and dryer that are located just off the kitchen and dining area. We encourage you to enjoy the seating area outside which includes a fire pit as well as a BBQ pit. Guests will also have full access to a stocked pond on the property to enjoy some leisure fishing time.
We have 3 exterior security cameras, one on the front of the house, one on the back of the house overlooking the back yard, and one looking at the driveway. There is also a doorbell camera on the front door.

Decent place to stay

The house over all is good. We had a few draining issues in the bathroom and kitchen that the host seemed attentive to and hopefully fixes. The kitchenware is less than to be desired so if you plan to prep and cook much I would consider bringing your own.

The property was very clean and accommodating. Guests should be prepared to stop for food or other needs before arriving at the property. There is a Wal-Mart several miles away down the highway. I would not expect to sleep 10 at this property as advertised. There are only double beds for 6. A pull out couch for sleeping maybe two small people. Property manager/owner should consider leaving some information booklet on local shopping or restaurants. We had to search for everything. Instructions from check-in/check-out were provided and accurate.

Wedding week

My daughter was getting married in the area and we shared the house with close friends for the week of the wedding. The house was very spacious. The kitchen was so big I was able to make all the deserts for the wedding there. It was a very short drive to the event center in Brookfield and to Marceline where other family was staying. The host responded very quickly to all requests. It was far better than staying in hotel.

Excellent host and great property

Our stay was a combination of business/recreation. Four of us stayed here as we were involved in operating the Kayak Anglers of Missouri’s Battle of Brookfield fishing tournament. It made sense to stay here due to the proximity to Brookfield as well as the fact that a big part of our tournament was to support local businesses, just like this rental. House was exceptionally clean and the owner was very quick to respond to any questions. Very relaxing atmosphere and about five minutes from town. Check in was convenient and there was no two page “do and don’t” instruction sheet like you sometimes find. Nice large beds, two bathrooms and multiple rooms to watch TV or just relax. We had two vehicles with trailers and trailer parking was very easy. Overall great stay and plenty of property to relax on.
