Iconic building, overly economical renovation

Hotel Avion is a unique functionalist building. Unfortunately, the renovation was too focused on the price/performance ratio and the feeling of staying in the hotel is mixed. The noise of the room doors (you can clearly hear every closing on the entire floor), impractical room layouts (some of the Classic rooms have a bathroom and toilet across the hall, you probably won't find out when booking), air conditioning that shows on the display that it is cooling at 18 °C, but the room is 26 °C all night, the bathroom smells musty (because there is no moisture extraction in it)... If you want to sleep in an iconic building, Hotel Avion is the right choice, but if you want a comfortable stay, you should choose other accommodation.

Great place

Had a great stay. Breakfast was much better than expected. Great location. Only slight problems were the solid floors in the room and hard mattress, which affected the comfort score slightly. Would definitely return

Great location, lovely rooms and hotel. Staff very friendly and the breakfast was good. I have stayed at 3 hotels in Brno over the last 6 months and this will be where i stay for my next business trip.

Great find!

This was such a good surprise, big room, very comfy pillows and bed, a breathtaking view. And good breakfast. Location was fantastic. Only trouble was no parking, we parked in a garage about 8 minute walk for about $20. We'd go back in a heartbeat!

Interesting historic (pioneering ‘modern’) building. You can do a self-guided tour around original public spaces, not now in use. Rooms and ambience very pleasant, staff very helpful, breakfast good (though the croissants are too crunchy). Very central location. Highly recommended.

Ud fra billederne at dømme, havde jeg en fornemmelse af et gammelt og lidt slidt hotel, men det er jo designet fra den tidsalder hvor hotellet blev skabt, Bauhaus perioden, også kendt som Funktionalismen. Dejlige senge med masser af store puder, fantastisk udsigt over byen og en lækker tagterrasse med borde og stole hvor vi nød solnedgangen. Morgenmaden var god og rigelig, selv bobler er en mulighed.
