Everything was ok about this property, not the best, not the worst, the staff at breakfast always looked like they'd drawn the short straw regards having to get up early and work, it was like having your breakfast served by adults acting as teenagers. The carpark is a squeeze as well.

I chose the hotel for a shortish stay as wanted to visit Bath and Bristol and didn’t want to drive. It’s perfect: regular trains and buses to both destinations. A great breakfast included which is a boon as it saves waiting to be served at tourist hot spots. All staff very helpful and friendly. The evening meal I had at the hotel was superb (roast of the day). My room was very quiet with an efficient shower. Garden a plus where you can sit with a drink and reflect on the day. I’d go back.

The staff/place was lovely. Although we booked evening meal. We had a drink in the garden beforehand. The chef went home. So no supper. Thought someone would have come to inform us that kitchen would close soon The macerator was noisy but bearable for short stay. Breakfast lovely . Helen

This is a really, really old building, so it is hard to rate it. They probably cant move rooms around and remodel a building this old. It is however, typical of old UK hotels, they all feel a bit tired and a bit lacking somehow... maybe that is the "charm". My room was small, and maybe a little basic. The bathroom had a cool roll top bath, but no shower, not even a shower attachment, to wash my hair, a small plastic saucepan was provided... Felt a bit 1920's.. Parking is a joke, no more that 3 spaces that are accessed through the narrowest gate imaginable. Not sure where I would have parked, Tesco nearby? Breakfast was good, cooked to order. Despite my harsh critique, it was decent value for money and if I needed to be in town, I would probably use it again.
