Its a lovely old place. Granted it isnt a new build, but the beds are comfortable and you get a bath. And lovely and toasty in the winter. Perfect location for wither taunton or Bridgwater and a free car park.

Restaurant food was very nice and good value. Breakfast was excellent the hit options were all freshly cooked and good quality. The continental options were also good quality and varied. The room was a little tired and some or the corridor areas could do with a freshening up. All told a very nice overnight stay and will stay again when in the area. Another stay at this lovely hotel. Yes it's a little shabby in places & the carpets could do with a cleaning but what makes this hotel are the staff. Their attention to detail, friendly, polite & efficient service is second to none. The food is excellent. All in all this is a cosy hotel & well worth a visit. I do also think the room pricing is very competitive for the area.

Although spacious, the room at our arrival was very cold. After having asked twice about it and that we needed two towels as we were two people, yet no heating was switched on. Later in the day, after a long day out, we spoke to another member of staff who final managed to give us two towels and switch on the heating. The hotel is very very old but it reflected on the price.
