We were due to stay for 1 night Christmas shopping trip @ Street. Arrived early evening to be told "we tried to contact you sir , the hotel is closed to the public". The hotel was being used to house asylum seekers? We had to travel back up the M5 to another hotel. Also missed dinner at a local pub that we had booked. I appreciate these people need somewhere but H.I did not advise us at all until we arrived????? Will never book with them again!!!

Handy location for Carnival
Hotel very busy due to Carnival but check in was efficient and friendly. We had to park in pub csrpark and register on their system to avoid a fine but had no issues doing so. Room was a reasonable size with all the amenities we needed. Bathroom quite stylish with spacious shower and nice tiles. Only omission was a heated towel rail. We had to pick a slot for breakfast due to it being so busy. Breakfast was the weak link with limited choice. Coffee was un- drinkable - latte was weak and watery, flat white bitter and watery. Hot chocolate was much better. Staff work hard.
