The holiday home is located in the centre of the village of Castasegna, in a very quiet and sunny position and offers a unique view. The living rooms are spacious and functionally furnished. In addition to the garden seating area, a small balcony (for 2 people) can also be used. The flat is also suitable for families of up to 5 people. The minimum stay is 7 nights. Shorter stays on request. In addition to biking, fishing, hiking and climbing, there are many cultural activities on offer in the summer months. The proximity of the Engadine offers many opportunities in summer and winter. The village of Castasegna lies between palm trees and chestnut woods on the border with Italy and, despite its location at 686 metres above sea level, has a typical Mediterranean climate, with palm trees, fig trees, camellias and vines growing in the small, well-tended gardens that can be seen throughout the village. From above, Castasegna looks like a sea of roofs made of stone slabs. Only the bell tower of the church of Santa Trinità, dating from 1660, stands out. Nearby, in the direction of the river Maira, there is another church, that of S. Giovanni Battista (St John the Baptist). The stone-paved main street is lined with splendid 17th century houses and the Villa Garbald, the only building south of the Alps designed by the German architect Gottfried Semper. Away from the main road, along the narrow paths and alleyways, you can catch glimpses of the still intact rural past, such as the old washing fountains. In Brentan, above Castasegna, there is a marvellous chestnut forest, one of the largest in Europe. It is still cultivated in the traditional way today.

Die Wohnung war perfekt für uns drei Damen: drei schöne Zimmer, Küche, Wohnzimmer, alles sehr gut ausgerüstet, sehr sauber, alles da. Wir haben besonders gern den kleinen Balkon und den Gartensitzplatz genutzt. Die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich und hilfreich. Die Lage ist für jedes Begehren sehr gut. Sonne, Wärme, italienische Stimmung und auf der anderen Seite Hochgebirge. Wir kommen garantiert wieder .
