Georgeham is a small rural village within 10 minutes' drive of Saunton Sands, Croyde Bay and Putsborough, with Woolacombe less than 15 minutes away. It has two great pubs, and is close to the South West Coast Path, making it perfectly placed for exploring some of North Devon's most loved beaches while enjoying the quieter charm of village life.

A delightful one-bedroom property, this cottage has been designed to make the most of indoor/outdoor living. Bi-folding doors from the kitchen/diner open the entire space onto a large patio where guests can BBQ and enjoy meals or drinks in the sunshine when the weather's warm. Beyond the patio lies a swimming pool, an outdoor lounge, and a hot tub – a dream for anyone who enjoys outdoor relaxation and sunbathing. Inside, the open-plan living space combines a well-equipped kitchen, dining area and cosy sitting room, while the cleverly arranged bedroom area allows you to view the swivel-mounted TV from either the sofa or from bed, with a separate bathroom adding to the space on offer.

Characterised by winding lanes and thatched cottages, Georgeham is home to a medieval church and two well-loved pubs, including The King's Arms and The Rock Inn. Both are favourite spots for good food, local ales and an easy-going end to the day. Surrounded by beautiful countryside and close to the dramatic coastline around Baggy Point and Saunton Down, The Granary offers a wonderful stay in one of North Devon's most sought-after locations.

We ask our guests for a £50 Good Housekeeping Bond, pre-authorised against your credit card. This is in case there is any damage to the property during your stay. The money is simply reserved and then released afterward if there is no damage. We will contact you nearer the time of your arrival to arrange this.

Relaxing weekend in this hidden gem!

The granary is tucked away behind one of the main roads through Georgeham. There is a free car park however due to lack of lines parking spaces are scarce so had to park on the road a couple of times, which was easy enough, the village is very quiet. The path to the property was well lit, and it is tucked away in a corner of the property at the front, it really feels like its own space though, like a secret hideaway, you never feel like it’s someone’s back yard. The property had everything you would need and a lovely gesture was some fresh bread, butter, milk, tea and coffee for refreshments after the journey there. There was a guide for how to use everything in the property and Nik was on hand to help with anything if you had an issue. The absolute highlight of our stay was the use of the pool and hot-tub. I think it is communal but we didn’t see anyone else during our stay, the first weekend of September, it felt like we were somewhere abroad on a gorgeous sunny Sunday afternoon, lounging around on the lovely outdoor sofas. With the 2 brilliant local pubs in walking distance and the lovely village shop practically on the doorstep there really was everything you could wish for in this home.
