Overall: DismalHousing:Electrical limiter on the house triggered power blocks/surges/shut downs: Water heater X3 days-(73Fon arrival)Oven,Air conditioningx2days.Poorly stocked kitchen-eg.no bowlsHost response: Failure to recognize the impact on us.The “electrician” who failed to fix elec blamed my 88 year old mother and I of breaking into locked garage and flipping breakers.Host was aware and did not apologize for insult or inconvenience.Cleanliness: dried toothpaste in sink, bugs/dust/dirt on sills/furniture/in tub.Cabinet outsides dirty.Lanai which floods: with grime on floor,furniture.Back yard unusable with debris.Safety: Hazards: Entry way step up, especially if w disability. Rug provided for door was white bath mat.Fall risk.After the electrician said someone was breaking in through the house (accusing us) we became concerned about backyard and open lanai safety.Host declined to provide padlocks for easy open gates.,I supplied locks for the safety of dog/backyard items. Neighborhood: Mixed.People: friendly/helpful.We were told by the police and neighbors that vandalism was an issue.To lock doors and car.Vandalism occurred to neighbor’s mailbox.Some houses well kept/some overgrown/trash in yard-one directly across from us. Impact:-Lost work(MD-virtual)&personal time-Felt unsafe,wary of host-VRBO refunded all fees,considered moving us, recommended host reimburse us.He declined. This stay was a burden.Especially for my 88yo mom. So glad to leave.
