I was told the indoor pool was heated and it was FREEZING cold! Kids hated it and weren't allowed in the hot tub at all. I was also told there'd be a free continental breakfast and it was cold breakfast sandwiches, yogurt and honey buns. Property was very rundown...but I guess you get what you pay for!

Their suites are nice. Only downfall is Jacuzzi tub wouldn't turn on cold water good so it was supee hot and hard to get right.

We had a bad vibe from the start. The elevator was being serviced, the outdoor swimming pool only had a puddle in it and it was green, as soon as we got to our door, a dog started barking across the hall. 1:15 am, the dog started barking and I had to call the front desk. They came up and we never heard the dog again. About an hour later, we did however hear the couple that was there shouting curse words at one another and slamming the door. I felt like Tom Hanks in "Big" when he's in the hotel cowering in the corner. I was nervous about calling the front desk again. In case the neighbors found out who called. Needless to say, this Clarion Inn is not on the top of our list for a return stay.

First of all the property was overbooked on Expedia and according to Expedia that problem is on Clarion’s end I was told the room that I got was on the third floor but that the elevators were broke. Since I’m a senior this was not an option. Another room was offered on the first floor by the entrance door. I asked if the door was secure since it was all glass and I was told it was. After unloading my car and my pat and walking up to the outside door I discovered the metal door frame would not allow the door to close. A serious structural problem as well as this entry door access is the entire facility making it unsecured and unsafe. After loading everything back into my car and going back into the office I was told they would refund my money to me however it was refunded to Expedia in error and all I had to get that resolved myself that CLARiiON could not do anything about it. A senior woman traveling alone in a 16 foot rental truck did not need to experience this event alone being left with nowhere to stay except paying full price at another facility. It took an hour and a half on the phone with Expedia to get my refund. And experience I will never forget.

Mixed feelings

This is a much older hotel that was probably pretty great in its glory days. The rooms have been recently updated, which is nice, but the outside, hallway areas, and pool area is definitely showing it’s age. The pool area is VERY warm...which is great if you are actually swimming but probably not for just sitting. All employees we came in contact with were very friendly. However, attention to detail when cleaning would have made the stay much more comfortable, and new heating/cooling units that have an auto setting would really help. Also, as of yet, this motel is still not serving hot breakfast...just grab n go.
