The lady at reception was fantastic and the room was clean but the heating had stopped working so it was freezing cold. By the time I realised the heating wasn’t working the reception had closed. If the heating had been working it would have been 5 star for a stopover on a long journey with my dog.

Good, clean budget hotel

Stopped here for a wedding locally. Hotel pleasant enough for the price, staff very friendly and, after overcoming the language barrier (speaking some French helps massively here no English speakers), was shown to my room. Tidy and comfortable, USB chargers in wall - great touch as I hadn’t forgot my plug adapter! Shower was ok, although the holder was broken so one handed showering required. Local amenities were great - supermarket across the road, a petrol station and a fast food restaurant. Restaurant next door too, although I never tried it. Very friendly staff, from manager to cleaners, very accommodating for my poor French. Would use again.

Worse experience I’ve ever had on holiday

Total nightmare from the start we arrived at the hotel around just after 9 o’clock nobody was at the reception to let us in or show us to our room we had to stay at another hotel so that was money wasted as we had already paid to stay at atena creon .. reception weren’t very helpful at all when they finally bothered to show face I tried to explain on numerous occasions that they had took money out my account 240 pounds for the 4 nights stay and for some reason they took another 90 pounds from my account I explained the whole situation to them and asked to speak to a manager but all I was told was the manager won’t be back till Monday I would never stay here again in a million years very disappointed but I guess that’s what happens when you book with a 2 star hotel

Our stay was lovely the Hotel Atena staff could not do enough for us and their English although limited we understood eachother. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The WiFi could have been a bit better but on the whole we enjoyed our stay.

The staff on duty were friendly and helpful. The room was compact but the bed was perfectly comfortable for one night. Air conditioning was good (after a bit of adjusting) as the weather was very hot. The shower was excellent - loads of hot water. The room and shower room were very clean. We were not disturbed at all by other guests. We did not have breakfast. Parking easy and good wifi connection. You couldn't walk into the town which might be nicer but it was all very good for one night's stay on our way north.

There were no humans present when we arrived. Booking-in was by machine. I had arranged to store our bikes in a secure room, but as there were no staff present, we had to store them in our bedroom, which was already cramped, even without the bikes.
