This hotel let’s down the Accor brand and needs to be reclassified as a 3 star. The Novotel Bordeaux is NOT a 4 star hotel: - plastic and paper cups in the room - 1 teabag for2 guests and we told an additional $3 charged per additional teabag This was a shock as other 4 and 3 star hotels we had stayed at prior to arriving at the Novotel in Bordeaux , provided us with unlimited tea bags and espresso pods in our room Even the Ibis Styles in Bamberg had unlimited coffee access to-a coffee machine as well as tea , hot chocolate, juice and water all day long in the hotel lounge - No coffee machine as in other 4 star hotels - An Opened instant coffee sachet was left by the previous guest and cleaner - substandard quality of bedding and towels - No cupboard for clothes - Exposed safe - No luggage racks - No toiletries provided : only bath gel and 1 soap - Heating and cooling didn’t work - Malfunctioning tv - We also asked , 3 months prior to our stay , for a room with a view since we were celebrating a milestone bday in Bordeaux but were given a tiny first floor room with a shower in which the water didn’t drain - Our room was not cleaned on one Occassion by 3:30 pm after a long day out and the staff were quite unapologetic about it all - Very basic cleaning - Definitely would not recommend The Novotel Bordeaux if you’re looking for 3 or 4 star quality . This hotel does not compare with other 4 or even 3 star hotels such as the Mercure or the Radisson
