The Hemlock Inn is a charming inn in a great location, within walking distance to dining, shopping and things to do. The only downsides were the musty odor in our unit and the hot water and water pressure dropping while showering.

The only thing that might be a drawback for some is the lack of convenient outlets for tech devices. They were there, but a little hard to get to. This wasn't enough of a problem for me to downgrade my rating, because it was such a nice play to stay.

Great location but even with air purifier and AC on high, mildew smell in bathroom was inescapable. Also door had glass at the top that was curtained with sheer fabric which meant that the room was bathed in orange light all night, really unpleasant. Service was cursory-no ‘how was your stay’ just ‘drop off your parking pass’.

Clean hotel with a friendly staff. The location is excellent for Blowing Rock with a quick jaunt up the hull to hit Main Street and the shops and restaurants lining the area. Nice touches with ceramic mugs and daily housekeeping services. The flowers and additional landscape on the property are really lovely. Our room had a big bathroom. The room with the bed was a bit tight but adequate. I would stay here again but opt for a larger room.

I arrived late, but had no issues accessing our room. Settling up with the front office the next morning was quick and easy. The property is in impeccable condition. Both the rooms and the outdoor/common areas were exceptionally clean. We especially enjoyed the pavilion and fire pit, where we had the chance to meet other travelers and swap stories. You can’t beat the location of the Hemlock Inn. Blowing Rock is incredibly walkable and full of charm. My wife and I strolled from one end of town to the other—while I’m not much of a shopper, the stores were still a pleasure to explore. We already have more trips planned to the area and won’t hesitate to stay at this property again.
