Family Christmas
The layout of the house was beyond awesome. It was able to accommodate our family very well. Since we were celebrating Christmas and I communicated that with the owner, he put a tree up for us. It was absolutely perfect. The only thing that I see that needs an improvement is some new mattresses in some of the bedrooms.

Really cold, house not heated enough…
We had our normal family reunion over thanksgiving and decided to do Boone instead of Asheville or Gatlinburg. Weather was very cold (high ~30) for 4 days. House was 55 deg at checkin and never got above 66. Game room was unusable (see your breath) - thermostat wires hanging out of wall. A couple of upstairs bedrooms were unusable (50s) and people moved and slept on couches. Gas was out to fireplace as well. Recommend owner add heat to house. Would not stay here again until they do.

Boone NC Wedding stay
We stayed over the weekend of October 27th. We booked this home because we had our entire bridal party and their spouses stay with us over our wedding weekend and there were just enough rooms for everyone to have their own room. We got there to find only 4 large towels, 1 hand soap, 3 rolls of toilet paper, 1 roll of paper towels and only 2 things of conditioner. Thankfully the host is very quick to respond, that same night they had their cleaning service come drop off everything that was missing. I can’t be sure that all of the linens were clean as at least one of the beds had dirt on the sheets, under the comforter. Other than those issues, the house itself was very accommodating for the amount of guests we had staying with us.

Perfect family stay
We were in Boone for our daughter’s wedding. The rooms were a good size, and the bathrooms were a great setup, with separate areas for the toilet, sinks, and shower, which made it easy for everyone to get ready. The common area was a perfect place for the families to gather and play games and eat.
The host was available to answer questions if we needed him.

Great place for Large Crowd
We have a large family and have rented a number of places in the past to host our family reunions. This place was the best by far regarding layout and amenities. Everyone commented on how the small details like the arrangement of the bathrooms was excellent. We will try and rent this place again in the future.

Property Was Clean, House Manager Wonderful, But THERE IS NO HVAC
This property met the needs of my family which included 6 adults 4 teens and 3 children. It is very close to Boone - shopping and eating and attractions. It had 9 bedrooms. The house manager, Shelly, was wonderful and she took pride in making sure the house was very clean. I am a big cleaner myself and didn’t see one dirty surface besides some older carpet upstairs that needs replacing, and walls that need painting. However, I just want to draw attention that there is no HVAC. We stayed in June and there are 4 window air conditioners for a nearly 5,000 sq. ft. house. Only 3 of the bedrooms had air. None of the bathrooms. In addition some of the deck wood is rotting. It could be a grand home with a little paint and new flooring upstairs and some TLC outside. But the real issue for us was not having the air conditioning we needed for our June vacation. We appreciated our stay and the house manager. We appreciated that it was so clean and well stocked with towels and soap and everything we needed except HVAC. We respect the owners and especially the great house manager, but just wanted other renters to realize the issue with the HVAC if that is something that is important to you. : ) But we did have a great time in Boone and we were thankful for such a clean and spacious place to stay.

This place is huge!! Amazing stay!
This property was perfect for our large family traveling from Ohio for my Raleigh grandson‘s first birthday. The common area is large and it was perfect for games etc. there are nine bedrooms and everyone in our party had a queen bed. 5 bathrooms kept us from tripping over each other. I wouldn’t call it Fancy but very nice, clean and functional. Amazing for the price. Plenty of space for five cars to park. A short 15 minute drive into Boone, and less than 20 minutes to Blowing Rock. I would suggest four-wheel-drive in the winter, but I think that is a given that time of year. It looks like there might be more to this space in the future as you can tell the basement is being redone. I suggest you get it reserved before the price goes way up. Maybe I shouldn’t have said that as I have hopes to plan a future trip!
