The hotel was perfect! Location was great with train station right across the street. The center of town was easy to get too and easy walk! Susan at Desk was great help with touring city and map! Fabrizo at bar was also friendly and gave us insight to city too! Only thing is shower very small but no problems. I highly recommend this hotel!

Great but…..

Great location if you’ve got a lot of train travel in your schedule. Comfy beds, great breakfast buffet, lovely outdoor garden. But the showers in the bathrooms were very unsanitary. Soap scum/ black residue in both our bathrooms was very unpleasant

Loved the convenience of this hotel because we were only there for a couple of days. It's literally across the street from the train station, making it so easy to get into town. It's easy to walk into town from there as well. Lots of handy bars, shops, cafe's, etc right within a stones throw. The ONLY complaint was that it was a bit loud at night but our room faced the train station so maybe if you have a different room it wouldn't be an issue.

We enjoyed being just across from the train station since we were lugging several bags. It is a close walkable distance to the city center with great options for restaurants. The Mercure is nice and we had a renovated room and loved it. It was spacious enough for us. Loved our hotel host as well - so kind. She is English but can’t remember her name - maybe Sarah.

Amazing Service at Mercure Bologna!

We had a fantastic stay at Mercure Bologna. The hotel staff were all incredibly helpful, but a special shoutout goes to Giulia, who went above and beyond to make my girlfriend’s birthday special. She spent her Sunday helping me contact local patisseries to order a cake, even going as far as calling multiple stores and translating all the different flavors for me. She organized everything to perfection, making sure the cake was delivered to our room with a lit candle after we returned from dinner. Mercure Bologna, I hope you see this review and recognize the outstanding service Giulia provided! The rooms were clean, spacious, and the bathroom was modern and chic. We also appreciated the water dispensers on every few floors, providing clean, tasteless water. The hotel’s location is perfect—right across from Bologna Centrale station. Highly recommended!
