- we felt safe with the heavy solid entrance doors and electronic keypad locks. - the backup key was especially handy for unlocking the building main entrance door. - the air condition units in the bedroom and kitchen area cooled us down pretty quick - the washroom was tight for 2 people but was clean and had the basics - the location is walking distance from train station, grocery store (PAM) and local Mercator - the stove, fridge and washer worked fine but the pots & pans were showing wear - the walls were peeling paint but the place was very clean with clean bedding, towels & tiled floors

2/10 Terrible

Disliked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
I was disappointed with the condition of the room. It appeared quite old and poorly maintained. The bed sheets were very worn and even torn in places, the bed frame was scratched from years of use, and I noticed mold on some of the walls. While the host responded to messages promptly, they were not particularly friendly or welcoming. The room also did not include a kettle, and when I asked about one, I was told to heat water in a dish on the stove to make tea, which I found unusual and inconvenient. When hosting guests, I believe it's important to invest in maintaining the property. Furniture, bedding, and other amenities should be kept in good condition and replaced when they become excessively worn, torn, or heavily scratched from years of use. Overall, the room did not meet my expectations in terms of comfort, cleanliness, and maintenance.

2/10 Terrible

Disliked: Check-in, communication, listing accuracy
Our stay in Bologna was disappointing from the start. Check-in was meant to be via video call, but despite several attempts to contact the host on arrival, no one answered and we had to manage ourselves. The main issue happened on the third evening. After returning around 9pm, we found the building entrance keypad was not working. After several calls, the host finally answered and admitted he already knew about the issue because other guests had reported it earlier that day. We felt this should have been communicated in advance, as it directly affected access. We were left outside for around 30 minutes trying to resolve it. Initially, the host suggested we ring random apartments for help. Only after we insisted did he contact other guests to come downstairs and open the door. He also said coming himself would take too long and that it was not his fault as the door had broken. While issues can happen, we expected better support when guests are locked out. The apartment was average and not well maintained. Walls were flaky, the bathroom had only hand soap, and no basic toiletries. The bedroom lacked bedside tables and an extra duvet, and the one provided was very thin. Pillows were also poor quality, affecting sleep. Overall, due to poor communication, lack of assistance, and the below-average standard, we would not recommend this accommodation.
