Quiet country get-a-way. Located in beautiful west central Illinois, just 45 minutes from Abraham Lincoln's Home, Springfield, IL and 45 minutes from Mark Twain's home in Hannibal, MO.

Families, hunters, artist, writers or anyone looking to get away from the stresses of life. Clear your mind and unplug in a cultural retreat. Our retreat is just minutes from some of the best deer hunting in Illinois. A large yard provides lots of space for families to enjoy the outdoors. There is a patio with table and chairs on the back deck, or sit on the front porch and relax. Located ¼ mile off the road. Enjoy your privacy.

Unique photo opportunities of llamas in the pasture just in front of the house. Wildlife is often grazing in the hay field and surrounding timber. It is not unusual to see white tail deer, turkeys, rabbits, squirrels and other wildlife.
Fishing and boating opportunities await, the Illinois River is just minutes away. Bicycle the country roads.

The house is fully furnished. The kitchen has full size appliances, utensils, pots and pans, dishes, are all provided for your convenience. If you want to cook a full meal you will have everything you need to cook and serve, except the food.

Three bedrooms with queen size beds are complete with pillows and bedding. Two bedrooms share a bath, the other bedroom has a private bath.
The large living room has gas fireplace to take the chill off the cooler days and nights. Play board or card games provided.

Best little getaway!

Our stay at the Llama Fun Guest House was incredible! We got to tour the grounds and meet the llamas and then relaxed in the very spacious and clean house! Kris and Terry were very welcoming and we felt right at home there. We will definitely be back!

Great respite in the country!

The kids & I had a great time at the llama farm! The house was comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed, and Kris & Terry were amazingly hospitable. It was a nice way to unplug from the usual rat race. Looking forward to staying there again!

Country Experience Right Off The Highway

We had an amazing overnight stay here! Thank you for sharing this beautiful home with us! Kind and helpful hosts and a wonderful opportunity to learn about and have a hands on experience with llamas. Fun for all ages and a peaceful location. I really enjoyed my coffee on the porch in the rocking chair watching the llamas before all the kids got out of bed :)

Thank you Kris for your hospitality. The house is clean and full of small details that makes staying easier. It was hot when we arrived, and the glass door had a cover on the handle to protect our hands. Thoughtful little details. Kris gave us a tour, the llamas were very gentle, and we had a great time. The animals are very well taken care of on the property. A beautiful stay overall. Kris is the best host.

Great Place!

This was the perfect spot to get a good night's sleep but it would be even better for a more extended, relaxing getaway. I've never seen a vacation rental so well stocked! Anything you could ever need is there. The llamas and the sweet poodle were just the icing on the cake.

Lots of Llama Fun

Clean, cozy, comfortable, country living. Hosts are friendly as are their dogs. The hostess even allowed us to pet a llama! This is my first choice of places to stay when I work in Jacksonville or Meredosia, IL.

Excellent, quiet and clean. Kids loved it!

We stayed one night on the way home to Iowa for the holidays. House is phenomenal, was perfect for our Military family of 6 to spread out after a long day on the road together in the car. We enjoyed sitting down together at the dinner table, to have a home-cooked meal on the road. Even though it was single digit temps in the evening, the gas fireplace in the greatroom kept us warm and toasty! The kids loved seeing the llamas in the morning when we woke up and packed the car. A truly great stopover, that the kids never stopped talking about when we were home in the Midwest with our family. Highly recommend!

My sisters and I had a great time in this country home! Great property! The house was clean, updated, cozy, and relaxing! Has all the supplies needed to cook your own meals and dine. There was nothing lacking in what we needed. We enjoyed the seclusion and quiet. We were even entertained by the llamas on the grounds and even a few deer in the early morning while drinking our coffee on the front porch. After a day of shopping and exploring we could pick up a meal at the nearby diner, go "home" turning on the gas fireplace, and then relax watching a movie or just talking. Would love to bring my husband here for a homey get away.

Wonderful stay on the Llama farm!

What a treasure! We visited central Illinois for a family reunion and found Kris and Terry’s Llama farm property to be the perfect setting for a family retreat. Kris and Terry are wonderful people and spectacular hosts. The home was absolutely beautiful and immaculately clean. The kitchen was well stocked for preparing and serving full home cooked meals, the beds were comfortable and clean. The bathrooms clean and well appointed with new fixtures. The living room, dining room and back enclosed porch had comfortable furniture that meet all of sitting, reading and hanging out needs. The gas fireplace and TV were a bonus. The front porch had rockers and a perfect view of the Llamas pasture which was about 25 yards from the porch. The Llamas are a curious bunch and as the days passed you began to learn to hierarchy of the herd - quite amazing animals. One of the Llama mom’s even have a baby during our stay - so cute! Kris and Terry checked in daily to ensure we had everything we needed. We couldn’t have been happier with Kris and Terry’s country home. We look forward to returning as it fit our needs perfectly. If you are looking for a fantastic, quite and friendly place in the country, with good people, Kris and Terry’s Llama farm is the place to stay. Thanks for the wonderful hospitality! Llamas just add

This is a well maintained, modern property with three bedrooms (upstairs, there is a separate rental underneath the upstairs if you need more beds). They had everything you needed in the way of bathroom supplies, laundry supplies, kitchen supplies, etc. The added visit with the llamas on the property makes this just that much better. The hosts are right down the road but don't intrude at all. They are great people. We will stay here again if we can get back to Illinois.
