I was so excited to stay here because I've driven by it many times and the property is gorgeous! Right outside downtown Blowing Rock. The pool, hot tub and sauna area is phenomenal! My complaint is that a single couple traveling for a romantic weekend was put in a room smack dab in the middle of a bunch of families with screaming kid. Unfortunately the walls are very thin so not only could we hear every word they were saying inside the room but the children were also very loud going up and down the halls. My question is, why would an upscale hotel like this put a single couple traveling alone in a room next to a bunch of families with children? Seems like bad Management on the hotel's part. My other complaint is that employees were sitting around the bar "talking shop", when we went to have a cocktail at Timberlakes, the on-site bar/restaurant. Not exactly what you want to hear - a bunch of employees talking about work while you're at the bar having a relaxing cocktail. The management needs to correct these issues.

The hotel is very very outdated. The few staff people we saw were nice. There is not a large space/lobby/sitting area for a large group to congregate. The pool and hot tub were so gross not even the kids wanted to go inside. There were no lounges/chairs available and the water so very foggy. The "game/arcade room" is actually just just an old room with old mismatching sofas and a pingpong table. The room was large but stuck in the '60s. The carpeting in the hallway was dirty and so old. Overall the amount of money we paid was absoutely not worth it. We will not return to this so called "resort"

The grounds and common areas are very nice. People are nice! Timberlake’s restaurant is very good. The WiFi and cellular data was spotty and the hvac unit was very loud. The walls are thin and we had loud neighbors but nothing much can be done about that.

Very nice place, clean and spacious but the hot water broke while we were there. It seemed like staff tried to accommodate but since our checkout was that morning - they were only able to give us 30 extra minutes to shower. The water never got fixed however, so the thirty minutes really didn't do much to help. We had to take ice cold showers so be aware of that if booking in the winter. If not for that I would have given this a 5 star rating - the entire resort was lit up with Christmas lights and it was beautiful and snowy!

I thing our stay was just ok. Resort is missing some conveniences I have come to expect when paying at this price point. We barely had warm water in the shower . My wife had the water running for 10 minutes and could not stand to get in. The in room coffee maker and coffee were the worst I have had. Coffee supply at the front desk was lacking and not near enough to meet the demand of a hotel this big. I would suggest multiple drip coffee machines. I also encountered several other people complaining at the front desk that had it worse than we did. This did not ruin our trip but I have had much better conveniences for half this price. Our lakeview room design was great rustic wood features on the wall and black bear themed. Bed was comfortable and room was a good size. Headwater pub was quaint and service was good. We have been to blowing rock several times and this is our first experience at xhetola resort. Our next trip to the area, I will likely be looking for lodging somewhere else.

Restaurant was terrible. Only 7 items total on menu. No appetizers, no salad, no desserts, and very poorly stocked bar. We ordered cheese burgers because the other six options were awful. Burgers were raw. Hotel was very expensive and not up to par for the price.

We spent three nights at this resort, and none of what is advertised on the website reflects reality. The restaurant does not operate, breakfast is extremely disappointing, and the property does not correspond in any way to what one would expect from a place that calls itself a “resort” or from the online reviews presented. The bar opens on very limited days and hours and offers no food service whatsoever, only beverages. The activities promoted on the website were impossible to book, including the spa, which made most of the so called amenities purely theoretical. This was a case of entirely misleading advertising and a deeply disappointing experience.
