The property itself was a small cottage. Very clean and part of a large rental development. However, it was very difficult to find. The map was not helpful and signage is very poor. Additional fees to have access to amenities such as tennis( which we did not use since we only stayed one night ) was not disclosed until after booking. This is unacceptable!

"Ok" at best

We just returned from our stay at this unit in Bethany Beach. Sadly was not impressed. Upon arriving, there was an odor from garbage than had not been removed by the cleaning staff. Looking out to the deck it was a complete mess, covered in debris and also in need of a cleaning (which we did ourselves). Several hand soap bottles were empty, there was no dishwasher soap provided, nor extra garbage bags. Sure enough as others have noted was awakened at 8am sharp by blaring music from the tennis center, which lasted for a couple hours in the AM each morning. The unit was in "ok" shape, slats missing from the blinds on the front glass door, only one of the keys worked (lock seemed like it needed replacement), and as others mentioned the paint on the bar area was chipped. Bedding was poor, thin mattresses and super thin pillows. Given the nightly rate, felt like it was overpriced and in need of some TLC both in the unit itself as well as the cleaning. On the positive side, leading up to the stay the Vacassa folks were very timely in their email responses. We would not stay here again.

Dirty towels next to the door upon entry. Called manager. Staff came to pick up is not friendly. Also no clean towel upon entry. Then on the date of check out. Staff knocked at door at 10:00 (exactly) asking why I didn't check out. When questioned, she said the check out time is 10. A lot of ants. One of the light in the kitchen is not working.
