Our check-in (4 adults booked in two rooms) was very poor as the hotel only had 2 adults recorded under the booking name. Reception staff refused to accept any responsibility and insisted that we contact the booking agent ourselves by phone or email (address in USA). Under pressure staff provided an Australian phone number and with help from wotif.com the problem was easily resolved. The hotel is undergoing renovations and apologies were made to guests on arrival but loud machinery noise at 6.50am is totally unacceptable. Breakfast was also significantly impacted.
Our room was acceptable but furnishings are old and shabby. Our evening meal was very good
