Pleasant stay

We had an excellent stay. The room was clean and suited our needs. The choice of breakfast items was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was cleaned every day. The location is good with bus stops and U-Bahn stations nearby.

For a solo sightseeing trip the hotel was good value, clean and comfortable and very convenient for access to the city's excellent public transport systems. The breakfast was very good though it often took a while to find a table.

The immediate properties across the road from the hotel were not in keeping with the rest of the street. This stopped us from using the immediate bars and cafes. This did not distract us as there were lots of other restaurants bars and attraction within close walking distance.

We stayed two nights at the Holiday Inn Express City Centre. It was the perfect base for activities all around Berlin. Easy to get to between two different subway lines. The breakfast buffet was fantastic. The room was small but sufficient for three people (1 adult, 2 adult sized teens). The area was quiet. A excellent choice for exploring Berlin.

Staff and facilities were excellent. For the price paid we were very happy with our rooms (2 x 2 singles). Only gripe was the air con didn't appear to work so it was very hot in bed. Hotel was in a good position, only 10-15 minute walk from Checkpoint Charlie, 5 minutes from Fuhrerbunker.
