The hotel is located close to alexanderplatz station, is very easy to get around Berlin from. The staff were really friendly, we were allowed to check in really early as our room was ready, on check out they kept our bag and were also helpful with any questions. Seen some reviews about damp and funny smells in the room, nothing like that in ours, clean and good sized with coffee and water complimentary, however the toilet water smells very pungent when you flush weirdly. Would recommend to stay here to anyone, a very enjoyable stay in a beautiful city. Thank you

Comfortable rooms. Good breakfast. Walking distance to many attractions and the train station. They don’t clean the rooms but for just staying a couple of nights was OK.

Great location near to Alexanderplatz. Nice clean room and bathroom, comfortable beds, helpful staff. Easy location to get to as all transport systems are nearby so it’s also easy to get anywhere in the City. Stayed 4 stress free enjoyable nights.

Great location, "everything" nearby.

I like the no nonsense style of decoration and sufficiency of the hotel layout calm rooms, friendly staff. Close to the S-Bahn station Rosa-Luxemburg Platz, the Hotel is easy to reach via U2. Plenty of food and shopping locations nearby, even so the Alexanderplaatz is currently in terrible shape and very dirty, the never ending so called 'graffiti' in that part of Berlin makes you rather want not to stray around on the streets, even so the Nicolai quarter and the Hackeschen Höfe are really close and in walking distance. Hotel is too, based on the quality, I would stay there any time again when visiting Berlin again.
The famous theater is just 4 min right around the corner!

We stayed at the H4 for four nights this July. We took the train from the airport which was easy and convenient and about 5 euros (you need to validate your ticket at one of the yellow machines on the platform otherwise you can be fined 6o Euros!) When we arrived we went out of the wrong exit - the area around the station isn't the best first impression but about a five minute walk to the hotel. The H4 is large modern and busy. It's in a convenient location for transport and the open top bus tours. The reception team were polite friendly and very helpful. Our room a Junior Suite on the 6th floor was fantastic - a huge room lots of wardrobe space . A large bathroom twin washbasins a rainhead shower and a bath with a great view! Our daughter's double sofa bed was the comfiest she has slept in and she had her own toilet and TV. Only UK news channel- it would have been lovely to have a Uk film channel or two. Would highly recommend a Junior Suite.The cleaners will come and clean the room if you request it at reception. The breakfast area is busy after 8am but there are plenty of tables and the choice was extensive. Not many restaurants in the immediate area unless you like Thai. We took the Big Bus Tour on our first day and got off at Brandenburg Gate The Berlin Wall and Checkpoint Charlie as these were quite far from the hotel. Otherwise we walked everywhere - river close by and Museum Island DDR Museum . We thoroughly enjoyed our stay thankyou.

BEWARE, NO AC AT THIS HOTEL! They claim to have ac but the ac does not work. We were a group of 14 with 7 different rooms and no one had decent AC. I made numerous calls to front desk and they sent someone to “fix” it, but it was never fixed. Very unpleasant to come back to a hot room after a day out in the hot sun. I would never recommend this property for this reason.

Great location near Alexanderplatz Staff were always helpful. Place was clean, breakfast had a good choice. Price for the stay was good. Rooms had the amenities you needed. We stayed on floor 7, inside view but this was fine. Room furniture was modern and in good order. Will recommend to friends & family.

Nice hotel, good staff, great breakfast . Room clean and bed comfortable. We felt there was a shortage of hanging space and only 1 drawer. The worst aspect was the poor air con. We moved room once but the problem remained. Staff said either Aircon wasn't working or it is only switched on when very hot. If Aircon is important to you it would be advised to stay elsewhere.
