Hotel offers good basic accommodations for overnight stay with clean comfortable bed and good (small) shower (no TV in room). City Center, parks, waterfront dining & fish market about 10 mins walk from hotel - through a safe neighborhood. Guests were having issues with unattended check-in - so hotel person checked us in, otherwise good

Citybox Bergen Hotel has a great location – close to the train station and surrounded by plenty of dining options. However, it’s very much a budget hotel with minimal services. Check-in is fully self-service, and staff are rarely around. The soundproofing is poor; from the second floor, you can hear people talking downstairs as well as nearby party music. Rooms are not cleaned during the stay, tight shower space, and there are no floor mats (which I learned is common in Norway). Overall, it’s convenient and affordable, but expect a no-frills experience.

CityBox Bergen has taken minimalism too far. Self-serve in exchange for value is good but basics like towels, drinking cups, kettle should be provided. Staff did its best to be invisible.

The bed is so comfortable. 6 minute walk to bybanen station (Nonneseter). Free WIFI. Shopping mall and grocery store at walking distance (Bergen Storsenter, Meny and Kiwi).

Great laundry, basic, clean, no breakfast!

The hotel was generally good, modern and clean, basic and small room yet all I needed during my short stay in Bergen when I was mostly out on day trips and hikes. The self service check in was efficient. The laundry was great - I wish more hotels would have self-service laundry like this! The staff were helpful when I needed something. I felt the common areas didn’t have much vibe and were small and basic. It’s a very self-service hotel and there isn’t always someone in the office so it sometimes takes a bit of time to get help. I chose CityBox because it was the most affordable option for the first few nights of my trip. However when I wanted to extend another 3 nights I found it was quite a bit more expensive than other nearby hotels that included breakfast and a gym for lower cost! I would be more inclined to stay at a CityBox again in the future if they offered even complimentary morning coffee, fruit, snacks and a basic gym with a treadmill is always nice. I found it expensive for the lack of amenities/food compared with other hotels nearby, although overall it was a comfortable stay.
