Aside from the Breakfast staff who were attentive and welcoming and the friendly and efficient check in receptionists this was an average stay. Fine for an overnight stay but room was basic with limited lighting. Check out was merely transactional

Disappointing

The hotel location is excellent. Also, the staff were friendly , but looked bored and confused. The rooms were small and dusty, with great views all around the fjord . The general feel in the hallways is of a hostel . The bed was comfortable, but the king was separated into two twins connected with two blankets. There was no phone in our room, and some outlets were not working to connect our chargers . Overall, for the money spent, it wasn’t worth it .

Very narrow space between buildings where we can directly see the next room across from window. Seaview were non-existence as it is a small window where you need to gaze diagonally to catch a glimpse of it. The best part is where the stretch of Bryggen houses can be seen across from hotels outdoor dining area, other than limited beverage service at the lounge, nothing much to rave. Parking were non-existent, difficult to get around parking area too, not to mentioned the inconvenience of loading luggage’s from the car.

The checkin was very easy and efficient and staff very friendly. Location great and size of room very good. Our view was amazing, breakfast excellent and in price of room. Would highly recommend. We were there for one night having completed a cruise. Bergen a great place to visit.

Perfect location

The hotel is in a perfect location, all attractions, fjord tours etc are easily walkable. Great view across water to Bryggen.

The hotel is in a great location on the water and within walking distance to everything in Bergen. The rooms are a little outdated, not as clean as they could be and don’t have amenities like hand soap, shower caps, etc. my room was stifling hot s d it was 60 degrees outside. Even with the windows open. There is no AC and they gave me a fan when I begged after not sleeping my first night. Breakfast was well done. Overall I would recommend this hotel for what it is.

The closeness to the water-being on the water!! We had been on a small boat expedition cruise prior-and being in our room was an extension of that! And it was very fun watching all the activity on the harbor. The view of Bergen Bryggen area directly across the inlet was magnificent!

We loved our stay at the Clarion while visiting Bergen. Our view from our room across to Bryggen was amazing. The hotel is very convenient and walkable to all of the sites. Just a 5 minute walk to the tourist information and tour meeting spot. Breakfast buffet was ver good with a wide assortment of hot foods as well as fruits, fish, salads and cold items. Great way to start the day. Beds were very comfortable and bathroom was spacious. Best view in Bergen. Ask for a room up high facing the water, if you want a spectacular view. Beautiful in the evenings. Staff was very friendly.
