Housekeeping got my checkout date wrong and at 1115 the DAY BEFORE MY CHECKOUT banged on my door and yelled repeatedly that they were calling the cops on me for still being there. I am a night shift nurse and the staff knew this, I’d been there for days. When I checked out the following day I told the manager how unacceptable the situation was and was told he was talked to. Then when I said I wanted his job, the behavior was outrageous to be screaming and threatening cops even if it was checkout day 15 MINUTES AFTER CHECKOUT TIME and then she said oh i fired him. I asked if she talked to him or fired him because she’s telling me two different stories and she laughed in my face. Worst guest service I’ve ever had, and as a travel nurse I’ve had a lot. Sad because the hotel is remodeled and in a nice location and has great amenities. Even if the toilet in my room still had the precious guests feces in it when I checked in.

I was very apprehensive about this hotel at first because of some of the reviews. It was a nice place. Our room looked fairly new. Very clean. The hotel staff was very nice. The only hiccup we had was they had a little trouble finding our reservation because we reserved through Expedia and they still have their old name listed but other than that it was nice for the money.

It qas centrally located and close to some amazing towns.. Staff was friendly a great value for the money.. The room we had was a kingsize bed and was new renovated. Highly recommend!!

Good Standard

They offer free coffee in the lobby. The coffee was good. The room was big, comfortable and everything worked perfect. I thing they have just renovated. The Booking was weird. I had it prepaid via Expedia. They sent me a note a few hours before checkin, that, they had to cancel the reservation, because Expedia didn't pay them. When I arrived, there was no problem. That was a little strange. It was almoust empty, when I was there.

Friendly staff. Bed was clean, room it self wasn’t. Killed 3 spiders and when I went out to the balcony there was a bunch of spiders plus webs it hadn’t been touched in at least a year. Room smelt bad too.

It's a work in progress but a great stay

At first it was crazy. The first room we saw was horrible it wasn't on the renovated side and I know I booked the Deluxe room. We I went back to the front desk and they were happy to fix it and they did after that it was great. So if anyone want to come to this hotel make sure you book the Rooms. They are renovating the hotel but I know when it's finished it's going to be great.

Place was in shambles. Obvious renovations taking place and portions of the place we inhabitable. The staff attempted to put me and my wife in one of these inhabitable sections of the building. Room smelled of mildew and carpets and bed sheets were worn, dirty and damp. The painters tape around outlets and door knobs was still present. The water in the bathroom was yellow and the bed was similiar to laying on a cardboard box. After complaining was moved to a newly renovated room for the rest of the stay. Was appalled that the hotel staff and management put us in a room in a section of this hotel that was in this poor condition and i am amazed that there were guests there that accepted these conditions. This was a very poor experience all the way around. I will second guess using expedia for future reservations as what i saw about this hotel thru them was generally good.

Only stayed there one night after attending a friend's wedding and was pleasantly surprised after reading all the reviews. This hotel is under a new owner and has changed their name to Roadway Inn. There is alot of construction in the area but the hotel was easy to find.

I arrived at the hotel earlier that expected. The pictures on the website are not accurate or up to date. While this hotel is technically in the Poconos it is actually in an industrial park with nothing around it. Its old, dank and smelly. Check in time was 3:30PM i called to cancel my confirmation because of the above items. Not only did the owner refuse to accept my cancellation, they charged my card an hour before check in to be sure i would not cancel that card,. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Terrible, nothing but problems, took over an hour to check in, because of a number Expedia sent wouldn’t go through. Finally done, left to go to a retirement party,came back to someone sleeping in our room. More time to straighten that out. Needless to say terrible!

The first night 7/21/18 on arrival I found there was no soap or shampoo in the room (233). I called down to the front desk and was told I could come down and get the products. I did that and went out for an evening meal. Upon my return (about 10:00 PM), I discovered there was no bathroom tissue in the room, nor was there any bath towels or wash cloths. As I had to leave early next morning, I just went to bed. Next morning I showered and used the hand towels to dry off. I stopped at the front desk and told them of the missing items, the person at the front desk said my next stay 7/29/18 would be 'complementary'. I departed the property on the morning of the 22nd. I returned in the evening of the 29th and asked about 'complementary' room. The fellow at the front desk said the manager would have to talk with me. I checked in and found everything in order in room 229. I spent the night and checked out in the morning of the 30th. The manager was not available and the front desk person knew nothing of my problems on the 21st or the 'complementary' room for the 29th.

In the middle of reno. New rooms are nice. We were asked if we wanted to stay in the new rooms but were declined as the older room was fine with us. Staff were friendly and you can certainly tell they are trying to bring the hotel up to more modern standards

Totally frustrating and disappointing

My husband and I had the most disappointing experience. The apologies of the gentleman checking us in was the bit of light on a dark rainy day. We called for an early check in prior to attending the first of 2 events in the Poconos. We were told no early check in because rooms have to be cleaned etc for our 3 pm arrival. No problem..we went to check in after 7pm . We were told to wait for 15 minutes as the room was being prepared. OK, we still had enough time to dash into the shower and head our for the 2nd event...or so we thought. We were handed the key and given instructions to drive to the building to Room 229. The rain was really pouring down then. Ran into the building, up a flight of dirty steps and Room numbers up to 229 posted on the wall. SURPRISE! The rooms in that building ended at 228! Were we dumb?? We walked down the hall checking room numbers as they decreased. No answer to our calls. Walked thru the rain back to check in... Guy calls someone and speaks in Hindi, no English then said to us '..go back and drive to the other building..Room 229 is there! No kidding. Wen to next building and entrance is locked. A huge metal box is on the door lock. Very upset by now...late for 2nd event miles away...we walked around the building and had to yell to an open doorway where someone seemed to be cleaning 'Can someone PLEASE tell us where Room 229 is??? This was the worst hotel experience I ever had. At the time of booking , it was mentioned that breakfast is included but when I asked the front desk guy, he said we don't provide breakfast and that we have informed expedia about it. I paid $90 for this room considering it had breakfast but there was nothing. The room was poorly light. There were only table lamps which were not sufficient. The room had a weird smell and the ac stopped working twice in the night , I had to call the room service twice in the middle of the night and after pressing some knobs the ac was on only for some time after which it was off again. I would like to have a refund as $90 is a lot of money for such a poor service. Will never recommend this place.

Great hospitality!

This was a nice area and close to a variety of activities. There is a new owner who was very hospitable and has been really working hard to improve the hotel. The improvements are very noticeable and we would stay there again.
