This property was a gem. Quaint and charming, clean and comfortable, well equipped throughout, communicative hosts who left us the most thoughtful and well stocked welcome basket when we arrived. Short walk to bus and train stations for easy transport throughout the Derwent Valley UNESCO site which was all super-interesting.

Fabulous House in Belper

This property turned out to be fabulous for our 2-week stay in the heart of the Midlands - a historic house completely renovated and beautifully decorated. The property has fully modern kitchen facilities, all the appliances you could need and full laundry facilities. Our host was great to deal with and replied back to questions quickly. One small problem was resolved in under an hour. Highly recommended for travellers looking for a comfortable home base to explore the Midlands.

Great unit - Great location --- Great Hosts!!

This unit is beautifully decorated and well-stocked, immaculately clean and had everything we needed for our 31-day stay! As seniors, we were initially concerned about stairs, but that proved to be no issue at all. Easy and effortless...and carpeted. The hosts were very responsive and proactive in making sure that everything met our expectations. The fridge was stocked with enough provisions for the first couple days and beyond. Both beds are king size and very comfortable with more than enough pillows to choose from. Large kitchen with anything/everything you might need for a short or long-term stay. Beautiful, peaceful garden in the back with a bench, chairs and table to enjoy the outdoors. Perfect location. We didn't have a car so the location was perfect (note: there is a reserved spot right at the front door for your car). A one-minute walk to the bus stand, a short seven-minute walk to the train station and town center. In town we found 6+ pubs, 3 grocery stores, numerous shops and, of course, a Birds Bakery! Be sure to visit the town's new library and library cafe - best bargain in Belper! Derby is an 8-minute train ride from Belper, 15-minutes by Uber. We had no issues or complaints at all during this stay. You can't go wrong by renting this for either short or long stays! Richard and Karen
