This is a nice place. The bed was comfortable, bathroom was clean. There was a swimming pool which was open all night, I believe they told us but I didn’t use it so didn’t see it. The area was quiet with a Dollar General within easy walking distance. Breakfast was wonderful. The juice machine wasn’t working but they had milk, coffee and possibly tea. Also a wide variety of breakfast food. The only thing I can say against it are the carpets felt dirty and left our feet dirty. I think they need a good steam cleaning that won’t leave residue.

Decent hotel for the price and the continental breakfast was OK. I did have a couple issues. I checked in online the day of my arrival. When I arrived, the hotel put someone else in my room. Took them about 10 minutes to figure out what to do and they ended up giving me someone else's room and said, hopefully they don't show up. Seems odd that they would give away my room, but I suppose mistakes can happen. The other issue I had was the new room they gave me had either dog or cat kibble pieces on the closet floor. The cleaning crew must not vacuum the closets. Other than that, my stay was fine.

The room, and building reeked animal urine. Inside the room there were many areas where walls/furniture/doors were damaged seemingly by animals. We could not get the air conditioner to blow cold air and the door required quite a bit of effort to get closed. The staff was very kind when I interacted with them.

I do really like this hotel. It’s their second time we have stayed there. It’s very close to my family‘s house and it’s in the price range that I like with what I appreciate for a hotel stay. It’s not high-end, but it’s very clean and comfortable. What we did not like was the best person who greeted us on our stay. Granted we got the late night person, but she was very cold and unfriendly. We showed up around midnight, but we had warned them of a late night check in. Either way if that is your work shift I think you should still be held to the same standard as if we showed up at 3pm. When we checked out, my friend had left two items in the room. We called immediately, but it took us forever to get someone to go look. When they did, they held it for us our family member to come get. But when we picked it up later, they don’t only found one item and they never told us this. As we knew that both items were left we also knew what happened to them. Clearly, both items were not turned into the front desk. Very disappointing.

The smell of cigarettes and weed was intense. Dirty carpet. Rude staff. One employee was even passed out or napping in the office with the door open… Juice and coffee were unavailable at breakfast and the cereal offered was expired and stale. Horrible! Stay away!!

I knew that Microtel had small rooms, but these rooms are too small. All of the ice machines had been removed and I could only get ice on the first floor. I will probably not stay at a microtel in the future

The property may be great but Expedia’s definitions for location sucks you have 2 Microtel s in Beckley West Virginia I’m sitting in front of one I make a reservation at the Microtel that first comes up go to dinner come back to check in and it’s at a Microtel 15 miles away in the wrong direction that I’m headed. Then they won’t switch reservations or cancel this has happened to me more than once I hate your definitions on location
