The ada room i had dix not have a seat in the shower. You will have to be able to stand. The room has a ramp to get to the doir. It does get a bit tight in the room with a wheelchair. Brakfast is cereal and a muffin. They do have fruit and juice and snake bats out all the time for guests. Close to park entrance. Restaurants and shoping a couple miles away. No bus goes down town from motel and parking downtown is pretty bad in summer. The place is ok to stay.

The Seasider is by no means a bad property. I would rate it 4 out of 5 stars for an older tourist town. The staff is excellent, and the rooms are spacious. The location is the best part about the motel, your right near the heart of bar harbor and right next to acadia national park. The property itself is a little old and in need of a better renovation, so be warned. However it is clean, the surrounding area is excellent and parking is excellent. Showers are TIIIIINY!!!! So be ready for that.

Perfect End to Our Maine Vacation

We were in Sullivan for the week at an Air bnb and we decided to end our trip with a night in Bar Harbor. We've stayed in this hotel twice before in previous years and it's been nicely renovated since. We love that it is dog friendly and within walking distance from downtown Bar Harbor restaurants and shops. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. The complimentary water, breakfast foods, and snacks were a nice plus. Everything was clean and the check-in/check-out was efficient. We were able to check into our hotel rooms early which was great because we were in the area in the early afternoon.

The staff at the front desk were welcoming and accommodating. Our room was clean and comfortable. The location was what drew us into the hotel, walking distance to the center of bar harbor. Added bonus for us was it being pet friendly.

Great place to stay in bar harbor

Exceptional Hospitality at Seasider Motel in Bar Harbor! Our two families had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Seasider Motel in Bar Harbor, Maine, on July 20th and 21st, 2025. We booked two rooms for two nights, and from the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the hospitality and care provided by the staff. After a long road trip from Florida, arriving late on our first night, we were warmly greeted by the night manager, Dustin. His exceptional hospitality and accommodating nature were a breath of fresh air after ten days of mixed hotel experiences. Dustin’s warmth and professionalism set the tone for a truly memorable stay. The motel itself, while older, is impeccably maintained. Our rooms were spotlessly clean, comfortable, and more than sufficient for our needs as we prepared for days of hiking in Acadia National Park. The continental breakfast was a pleasant surprise, offering a great selection of cereals, pastries, bars, coffee, and juice—perfect fuel for a day exploring the park. What truly made our stay unforgettable was the thoughtfulness of the hotel manager, Tim. On our first morning, Tim stopped by our rooms to personally welcome us and surprised our four kids with adorable mini stuffed Maine lobsters, complete with adoption certificates! The kids were thrilled, and as parents, we appreciated this delightful touch (no live lobsters or county fair goldfish moments here!). Upon checking in to this property for a three night stay I was told that I would have to pay an undisclosed fee for a pet of $120.00. This was in addition to paying for a pet friendly room at time of booking. The room reeked of a strong smell of deodorizer and was not clean. There was black mold in the bathroom as well. Would not recommend or return to this motel.

We loved our stay here. It was our first time in Bar Harbor in maybe 20 years . We were only here for 1 night to get the CAT Ferry to Nova Scotia. We did have time to walk around and see quite a bit of BH. We ate at a seafood grille kind of place which was excellent. There are so many restaurants to choose from in BH. If we ever get back there we would stay at The Seasider Motel again

Great stay at Seasider. The snack bar was a huge bonus! Manager was great in changing our reservation when the ferry was cancelled. Very walkable to everything. Would definitely recommend.

This property was perfect. I love the clean smell of the room when I walked in. It was comfortable and welcoming. The staff were so nice both checking in and checking out. It was a great location. I only wish we could have stayed longer.

You have to travel some distance outside to get to coffee in the morning. Breakfast is grab and go with pastries and muffins. The rooms are typical for a motel six but not what you would expect for 350 to 400 a night. AC did not work at night and the shower leaked. Staff was friendly and helpful and motel is located conveniently to Bar Harbor.

The property is located within walking distance to shops and restaurants in Bar Harbor. The oprporty offers unlimited snacks (eg fig bars, protein bars) and drinks (eg water, fruit juices) in the lobby. In the morning, they have a gtab and go breakfast (eg pastries, fruit, yogurt). Plenty of parking. The rooms are not insulated for noise so depending on the side of the building you can get some street noise. No elevator, keep this in mind if you are unable to carry your luggage up one flight of stairs...but I bet the staff would assist too. They are friendly. Will I stay again at the seasider? Yes I would.

If you are looking for the most modern trendy hotel, this isn't it. If you want a comfortable classic motel with unique kitschy decor and breakfast included for the whole family, then you've come to the right place. There are two buildings with an interesting and unique lobby design in each. The breakfast was excellent and the staff are all super friendly. They let me charge our electric car at one of the outdoor outlets which was quite helpful for our long trip the next day.
