Easy to find- CLEAN ROOMS

The only real thing lacking is the food. Something as simple as having a nice coffee is key. It was so watery that we went to McDonald's. The front desk is nice as well as the rest of the staff. Plenty of parking. Close to Arcadia park and shopping is right next door

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at the Wyndham Extended in Ellsworth, Maine. Very friendly hostess. Amazing room, very clean and extremely comfortable. Would absolutely visit again.

Nice Hotel

About 30-40 minutes from most of Acadia national park. Super nice hotel staff. The room’s kitchen is larger than expected with everything you need except a stove/oven. Conveniently located next door to a local supermarket and down the block from walmart. The complementary breakfast had a large selection and a lot (most) of the prepackaged food was kosher.

Overall great

Hotel was great overall and I already booked for next year. However, the coffee was not drinkable in the cafe and the rooms. I am not a coffee snob but I will bring my own coffee and coffee maker next year. I gave it low grades for eco friendly due to the bathroom having no place to hang towels. You were forced to get fresh towels each day.

Labor Day stay

Friendly and professional staff. Enjoyed seeing the manager's dog in the lobby. He was a Friendly dog.Our room appeared to be recently renovated. Comfortable bed and pillows. Adequate offerings for breakfast including hot breakfast sandwiches. It took about 25 minutes to drive to Acadeia and Bar Harbor, a tad further than I expected.Grocery store within walking distance. Sufficient parking. On the downside there is no ramp or elevator to the second floor. And 3 steps to enter first floor rooms from the lobby

Great stay but no elevators

It's a wonderful place to stay especially with the kitchenettes and the renovation they've done. But there are no elevators and there are no luggage carts I believe. So I was lucky and the maintenance man helped me bring my luggage upstairs.

My family & I drove 5 hours to get to the Hawthorn. We asked for early check-in because we were exhausted and we were visiting our cousin and Bar Harbor because she was terminal. They did not accommodate us and told us to come back. Never have I stayed at a hotel with it would not let me have an early check-in. Also online it says there’s a bar in a pool. It’s false advertising. We would’ve stayed somewhere else. Have we known that and we are glad we didn’t have the kids with us because we would’ve been pissed off because there was no pool. Very clean, hotel room, suspicious and very nice with. I stay here again probably not. It wasn’t what we expected.

The staff was friendly and the extended say room has great amenities, however the place itself was outdated and the hallways were dark and uninviting. The room did not meet my expectations as far as cleanliness, which to me is a huge issue. The furniture had noticeable dust, the dishwasher had odor from food particles left from use and the floor left our sock dirty and with someone else’s pubic hair. We hadn’t even removed our clothes or used the bathroom when we found the hairs on the socks, so the hairs certainly did not come from us. We did ask the front desk to have housekeeping do a thorough job of sweeping and mopping which was done. We understand the pressure and demands of staffing and running a hotel but cleanliness MUST be a priority in this type of establishment.
