We stayed 4 nights at the Days Inn Bar Harbor. The room was tidy. We used the fridge and coffee maker. Our small dog did fine and was well behaved :)

The beds were clean, but the tables and bathroom did not seem to have been cleaned. The carpets were outdated, with outdoor carpeting as well which seemed odd.

The hotel is in bad condition the bathroom floor was soft with water coming up from the bathroom floor. The railing on the deck was falling apart. The room door was hard to open. The staff did not answer the phone and when asked about it they said it was the weather. It was sprinkling and 50 degrees. There was also small black bugs in the bathroom.

Great location. Wonderful staff. Just wish the pillows were thicker. We absolutely loved Maine! Beautiful state to visit.

Room smelled like mold/mildew as soon as we came in the door. Didn't look like caulk/sealant had been used around the base of the newer shower or sink. Had to take allergy meds to control symptoms, but bed was super comfortable and housekeeping was very helpful. Other hotel options were limited over the busy weekend. Breakfast offerings were limited to a few grab and go items, with no variety from day to day and seating in the breakfast area was limited.

This is an older Motel that was upgraded a little bit. It has odds and ends furniture. The heating and air conditioning is very old. Plaster was falling off the rear wall. There's mold in the shower.

Just a bit run down. Staff great but it’s just an older place. Design would be better for Florida. Stairs open to weather. Toilet was very small and low. Heater was a bit loud. Still the price was reasonable for a tourist town. You get what you pay for in this life. Good for a night visit. Again the staff were cheerful and helpful. The room was clean. The breakfast ample . The place just needs renovation if possible.

I would not call what was offered "breakfast" - there was only a few COLD choices (I mean, you can heat up your one option of breakfast sandwich, but otherwise, everything is cold) Also, when you get a text to check-in, they don't honor anything you put down. (I had the option of checking in an hour early, complimentary, so we headed there and the room wasn't ready - DO NOT offer this service if you can't honor it) Room is OK but for what you're paying, you expect more - especially from such a touristy town. I would recommend staying somewhere else if you have the option.
