Sugar Top 2504- 5th floor Grandfather views, rented by Sugar Mountain Lodging

This 2 bedroom 2 bath condo is located on the Grandfather Mountain view side of the Sugar Top condo complex. The high rise building features a cozy lobby, gated security, an indoor pool, jacuzzi, sauna and fitness room. This one has the best wifi available, a Sleep Number bed, new 55" tv in living room & a washer/dryer! Bed sizes are a king, a queen and a queen sleeper sofa. Kitchen has pots and pans, dishes and silverware, small appliances. No pets.
Please note that Sugar Top does not have air conditioning. However, hen you're this high on the mountain, there's always a breeze.
The units only have a 38 gallon water heater , due to space limitations.
This only permits a 3-5 minute shower before the heater needs to recycle and reheat. .

Upon arriving we had to go back down the mountain to pick up our key to get into the room instead of them just having it in the lobby. We then walk into a dirty room, dirty towels, trash on the balcony, and dirty dishes in dishwasher. They sent housekeeping back up and they did not do much. That night we tried to shower. The hot water lasted 2 minutes. They said to wait 30 minutes and try again. Still no hot water. We complained about the hot water and how dirty the room was. They did send another housekeeper the next day. She did a much better job but still the hot water only lasted 2 minutes each time. There were 4 people and only one person could barely shower. The property manager was very responsive and told us what we wanted to hear. I would not recommend this place.

Pay attention to the details

We weren’t aware that we could only take two showers and then we had to wait 35 minutes before we could take two more showers. Parking was a problem. We went to the condo, unloaded, drive back to the parking lot, and took a shuttle back to the condo. When it’s snowing that’s a hassle. The owners need to updated.
