Pocket Guide: Ko Samui Bangrak Beach Hotels

Bangrak Beach is the thinking traveller’s choice on the north coast of Ko Samui. It’s quiet, beautiful and conveniently close to two of the most frequented Samui locales – Ko Samui Airport and Chaweng Beach. Check out our Bangrak Beach hotels and make the smart choice of giving yourself a peaceful yet accessible base when you travel to Koh Samui.

Bangrak is a white-sand beach that sees much less activity than some of its neighbours. That said, there are still jet skis for hire here for a bit of fun, and it gives easy access to the many ferries that depart the northern beaches for Koh Pha Ngan, where you can experience the party of a lifetime and long for sleepy Bangrak after a few nights!

Restaurants and bars are gathered at the south end of the beach, where you’ll also find a bridge across to Samui’s Big Buddha Temple and its namesake, a gold statue of the Buddha. The eateries sit on their own small island and are worth a visit despite being a bit glitzy and geared for tourists, the convenience means you barely have to go out of your way. The northern area, with less development and a sandbar, is good for walks.

Whether you fall in love with Koh Samui’s top beach town, Chaweng, or decide once is enough, you won’t have trouble getting there from Bangrak. A short trip via a connecting road that leads southeast will have you on the beachfront road and part of the rush in no time. Head in the opposite direction to the other side of the island’s northeast tip if you prefer to find something even quieter than Bangrak. Here lies Choeng Mon Beach, a stretch of sand that commands you to relax, or at most enjoy some snorkelling and kayaking.

So wot are you waiting for? You don’t even need to decide whether you want crowds or seclusion, our Bangrak hotels strike the perfect middle ground. Book your flight to Koh Samui and start counting the days until you go there!
