Truly lives up to the name of Standard. Located away from downtown, it is the perfect location for travellers who would prefer a quieter area in the city. It has a contemporary feel without compromising on luxury. The rooftop bar looking over the city is the highlight of the accomodation.

Lovely hotel in a great location, right next to the sky train. The staff are really nice but we did have an issue with a letter through the door saying we were being charged for staining on a bath towel that housekeeping said could not be removed during laundry. The staining was a soft pink tone from hair colour transfer, it’s easily removed just with water so when put in a wash it will come out completely. They added 500THB to our bill. I contacted reception and said I’ll happily take it to the local laundry and return it to them clean and they can remove the 500THB from our account. It’s not a massive amount but it was the principle. The hotel agreed and said the towel would be returned to me but it never appeared again - obviously it went to laundry and came back as white as every other towel. We received a second letter to say the charge had been removed. Unfortunately one down side of the hotel was cleanliness, on first impression it’s spotless but doors are all covered in hand prints. the wall beside our table at breakfast had streaks down it of old dried in food stains and some areas just really needed a good scrub. All in all, a great hotel, nice food and good team. We would go back again and hope they pay a little more attention to cleaning.

Conveniently located next to Chong Nonsi BTS station, in Thailand’s tallest building. They give you free tickets to the top floor observation deck/party space for each night you stay. The rooms are small compared to what you generally get for this price in Bangkok, but the beds, climate control, and bathrooms are all top notch for comfort. Mott32 is a great dim sum restaurant right on the premises
